Danny was still asleep that Sunday morning when he felt the mattress sink beside him. He'd been to the doctor and they'd decided he just had strep throat. A week of antibiotics and he was feeling much better.
The blankets moved and then Danny was wrapped in a warm set of arms. He smiled until he felt the kiss on his cheek.
"Slade," he grumbled. It didn't matter what time it was. Sunday was their only day to sleep in, he didn't want to wake up for anything or anyone. Especially not if Slade was going to cross the line.
But Danny's protest did nothing. A second later he felt Slade kiss his neck. Danny sighed. Then the hand that was around his waist started sliding lower.
Just as it was about to slip into his pajama pants, Danny grabbed Slade's hand. That really was too much, even if Danny would have happily let Slade do whatever he wanted. He started to pull away but almost jumped off the bed when he heard the voice.
"Morning," came the almost giggle.
"Matt?" Danny gasped, scrambling to pull the covers up though he wasn't sure why. "What are you doing?"
"Well at first I was just going to snuggle you but then you thought I was your brother so I had to prove I wasn't," Matt said.
"He's not my brother," Danny insisted. "We're not related."
"Calm down, I know," Matt said. "But he's basically your brother."
"No, he's really not," Danny shook his head.
"You can still have a crush on him, I think that's how it works where you come from, right?" Matt tried to tickle Danny but Danny caught his hand before he could touch him.
"I don't have a crush," Danny said.
"Wow, you're grouchy when you wake up," Matt pulled his hand back.
"How did you even get in here?" Danny asked, trying to get his heart to slow down.
"Your mom's boyfriend let me in," Matt grinned. "He's got a real DILF thing going on."
"I hate him," Danny had never meant that more than he did right that minute. "I didn't know you were coming over this early."
"I know, but I brought you coffee," Matt said turning to the bedside table. Danny saw the two Starbucks cups sitting there. "It's so gross outside I don't want to go out like we planned. Can we just stay in bed and watch a movie or something?"
"I don't know," Danny sighed. He wanted to be nice, he really did because the whole thing was actually really cute when he thought about it. This was exactly why he wanted a boyfriend, wasn't it?
"Okay," Matt took a deep breath. He was quiet for a few seconds before he asked, "Are you upset I tried to touch you?"
"Well, no, it's not that," Danny said.
"Are you sure?" Matt asked. "We never really talked about how things would be now."
"I know, but this is not about that," Danny said. "I just wasn't expecting it and I was half asleep so it was just a surprise."
"Okay," Matt still looked sad.
"Can I have my coffee, please?" Danny smiled.
"Yeah," Matt passed the cup to him and then took a sip of his own coffee.
"Do you want me to pay for it?" Danny asked after he'd taken a huge gulp of his caramel mocha, deciding he could be cute too.
"No, what?" Matt frowned. "Why would I make you pay?"
