"You know you're not the only one with secrets," Aimee let herself into Chloe's room that Friday night.
"I missed the part when I said I was," Chloe was flipping through Netflix, trying to remember which episodes of Teen Wolf she'd already watched and which ones she hadn't. She felt like she was years behind everyone else when it came to TV.
"That's because it's not really a secret anymore," Aimee shut the door and came over to sit on Chloe's bed. "Do you have threesomes?"
"No," Chloe rolled her eyes.
"You are 100% missing the point of having 2 boyfriends," Aimee held her hands up. "Seriously? Not even once?"
"It would be so unbelievably awkward," Chloe gave up on the Netflix and turned to look at her sister. "Exactly how would that even work? Either Danny or I would be stuck watching at some points."
"Slade has a mouth," Aimee shrugged. "I'm sure you could figure something out."
"Slade's also still getting used to the idea that he's dating a guy, so I think it'll take him a while to get to the point where he could have sex with Danny in front of me," Chloe rolled forward, stretching her hips. "Believe it or not, this is not a sex thing."
"I don't get it," Aimee shook her head. "How did this even happen? Slade's practically obsessed with you."
"Thank you for making my boyfriend seem creepy," Chloe narrowed her eyes. "It's weird, I know that. I used to be so scared he loved Danny more than me and that I would just end up getting hurt but it's not like that now. It doesn't make any sense at all, it just works."
"Do you think I'll end up as messed up as you and Hannah?" Aimee asked.
"The fuck?" Chloe stared.
"You've changed. Hannah's changed," Aimee shrugged. "I don't know, if that's what getting older means then I don't think I want to do it."
"How have I changed?" Chloe demanded. "Hannah hasn't changed, she just had a moment."
"She had a baby," Aimee raised her eyebrows. "That's not a moment, that's a disaster. Hannah was perfect-"
"She's still perfect!" Chloe interrupted. "She made a mistake, Aimee, and in case you didn't notice even then she did everything exactly right. Have you seen how perfect that baby is?"
"How can you not just hate her?"
"I tried that, it didn't work out," Chloe reminded her. "If anyone's changed, it's you."
"I haven't changed."
"You used to be nice," Chloe shrugged. "We had fun together. Now you just bitch about everything I do. And you pick on Emma for every last thing."
"You don't think I'm fun anymore because you're not fun anymore," Aimee snapped. "And yeah, I get on Emma because everything she does is so fucking stupid. I can't stand her! She doesn't even like Danny, she's just made herself think she does cause she thinks dating him would make her more like you."
"I'm pretty sure Emma's building a secret shrine to Danny in her closet," Chloe countered. "And if I'm so boring, why are you even in here?"
"Because this is the first time in 4 months you've even been home long enough for me to see you!" Aimee was actually screaming at her now.
"Oh," Chloe realized all at once what Aimee was really upset about. A second later her door flew open.
"Why are we yelling?" Brent asked.
"Dad! Get out!" Aimee shrieked.
"We're good," Chloe told him.
"We're not fucking good! I hate you!" Aimee jumped up. "You ruined this family! You couldn't even be at Christmas for more than 5 fucking seconds!"
