"Are you going to get that?"
"No," Chloe laughed, ignoring her phone which had started ringing again. "I already know it's my dad and he's going to tell me to come home."
"Oh okay," Etienne smiled. "So are you trying to get me arrested or?"
"He won't have you arrested," Chloe rolled her eyes. "I'm only 2 years younger than you, it's hardly a crime."
"I'm not sure, some of what we just did has to be criminal in some countries," Etienne kissed her cheek and scooted off the end of his bed. "At least plug your phone in so he doesn't stroke out when it dies," he produced a charger from somewhere under his bed.
"Thanks," Chloe plugged it into the outlet next to his bed. 20 missed calls and 53 messages. They weren't all from Brent but still. She couldn't stand it.
Chloe: dad you know where i am
Chloe: i don't have ballet for 2 days
Brent: dont care. come home now.
Chloe: you'll have to make me
Brent: dont tempt me
"He's going to send the SWAT team in here," Etienne kissed her shoulder.
"He would never," Chloe put her phone down and turned to kiss him. "Think of the headlines."
"I never would have thought your parents were the type to care too much about that stuff," Etienne made a face then corrected it, as a lot of people did when they were embarrassed about admitting they knew who her parents were. "I mean just cause of how they act on Snapchat mostly."
"They're not," Chloe admitted. "Not really. But this would be pretty extreme, you know?"
"Yeah," Etienne agreed. "I get the feeling you bring that out in people."
"Hm," Chloe really didn't want to keep talking about her parents. She scooted into his lap.
"It's not that I want you to go, but I've noticed these things get worse if you ignore them," he grinned, sliding his hands up her legs.
"I can't leave now," Chloe shook her head. "Then he'll think it worked."
"Like I said, I don't want you to go," Etienne kissed her. "I would like to see you again though."
"You're seeing me right now," Chloe pointed out.
"Yes, yes I am," he looked over her with an expression that got her heart racing. "And I think I could get used to it so..."
"Fine," Chloe peeled herself off his lap. "I'll go."
"What are you doing tomorrow?"
"I told my sister I would do brunch with her," Chloe found her dress and tugged it on.
"Can I see you after that?"
"Look," she found her shoes by his bed. "We don't have to make this something it's not. It was fun these past few days, you know?"
"Wow," Etienne ran his hand through his hair. "You're blowing me off."
"I just wanted..." Chloe paused. She wasn't sure what she wanted or even what she'd been thinking. "I just wanted to fuck. So."
"So we're done here," Etienne stood up. "So if I show up at the ballet school on Monday you won't come home with me?"
"No, I won't."
"We'll see," Etienne looked her over again like she was still naked. When he reached for her hips, Chloe let him take hold.
It was the kind of goodbye kiss that made her want to stay. That was probably his plan all along. Chloe didn't let him walk her out of the residence hall building and she was thankful because her father's bodyguard, Damon, was waiting in the lobby for her.
