question to the readers: what is one of ur headcanons? do you have any tribe headcanons (like their biology & culture for example?)

1) while flying during the night time, nightwings use star constellations as a magnetic compass.

2) when the tribes first became a thing, sacrifices were a major thing with skywings, icewings, & nightwings. they would sacrifice a dragon from their tribe to their gods/goddesses/deities/etc. and it wad an honor to be chosen as a sacrifice. animal sacrifices were also a thing. lots of cows, sheep, goats, wolves, foxes, & rabbits.

3) mudwings are known for making good beers. most of their sales are from skywings. sandwings make their own alcohol as well, but it is much different from any other on pyrrhia. it's an aquired taste.

4) when the war of sandwing succession began, many sandwing homes & villages were burnt to the ground by burn's soldiers if they did not support her. most of these villages are empty in current time.

5) icewings have several gods. some resemble birds, some resemble moose & caribou, while some are dragons. the main god is the great ice dragon, who can be seen in the patterns in stars & patterns in the aurora borealis.

6) back in ye olden days, rainwings set up shops all over pyrrhia. many of them were assassins for hire, or selling poison, hard drugs, and venom. if any customer dared to ask for rainwing venom, they would be murdered on the spot by the rainwing clerk.

7) skywing gods also resemble birds, mainly birds of prey. feathers are collected (but not sold) for good luck. it is bad luck to sell them.

8) mudwings make gorgeous pottery. it is a high demand across the continents. queens & royalty are buried with pottery & jewelery in their graves.

9) traitors in the mud kingdom are drowned in ponds. they are held down with heavy contraptions that are operated by mudwing guards.

10) mudwings wear beads to represent each of their sibs. if a sib dies, their bead will be removed by their other sibs & buried with the one who died. family members & sibs are buried beneath their homes so it's like they're living with their family/ancestors still.

11) skywing dragonets sound like baby corvids. they're very annoying <3

12) rainwings can make their spine protrude from their skin, so they can mimic certain dragons like icewings better. there's an animal that can do this, but i cannot find it on google. it think it is a reptile of some sort.

13) rainwings are perfect vocal mimics. they can copy human language so perfectly that it's akin to when a parrot 'talks'. they can mimic every possible animal, including dragons. they can also copy individual voices of dragons. some rainwings who are murderers have used this to their advantage to sound like a vulnerable dragonet calling out to lure in their victim.

14) some silkwings who are valuable to the hivewings (like flamesilks, or more 'important' silkwings who are too valuable to be assassinated) have been lobotomized. admiral is one of these dragons.

15) seawing meat tastes like fish. many cannibals enjoy this fact.

16) dragons have insane vocal ranges. they make countless unique sounds.

• skywings: mainly loud screeches like birds of prey. they have the highest pitched sounds.

• icewings: bird screeches, moose/deer/caribou sounds, elk screams, fox barks & screams, heron calls

• mudwings: crocodiles hisses, rhino sounds, buffalo sounds, goat sounds (but low pitch). they have the deepest pitched sounds.

• nightwings: monitor lizard sounds, crocodile hisses, snake hisses. they are the quietest of the pyrrhian tribes. the most sound they make is heavy breathing, really.

• rainwings: can do any vocalization. but mainly do snakes, primates, & birds. toucans, kookaburras, and howler monkeys are what they usually sound like.

• sandwings: snake hisses, ungulate sounds, hyena barks, lion growls & roars, and cheetah sounds. their tribe makes the loudest vocalizations.

• seawings: crocodile hisses, dolphin clicks. dragonets can make a sound that resembles gulls.

• silkwings: squeaks like the death head hawk moth, snake hisses. the quietest tribe.

• hivewings: crocodile hisses, snake hisses.

• leafwings: kookaburra calls, jaguar growls, cat-like yowls, primate screams, cassowary grunts.

• beetlewings: snake hisses, moth squeaks, & some tropical bird calls.
