The morning had started well enough. Jamie was feeling productive as she prepared her filming equipment, setting up her cameras and double-checking her shot lists for the day. She had a lot to get done before the first training session, but the quiet focus helped her block out the lingering tension from the previous days. As she adjusted one of the lenses, she heard familiar voices behind her.

Alex and Logan had arrived.

"Just in time," Jamie said with a grin, standing up from her makeshift workspace. "I need you both for a TikTok video."

Alex groaned theatrically. "A TikTok? Really, Jamie?"

Logan chuckled, giving Alex a playful shove. "Come on, mate. You're a natural in front of the camera."

Jamie smiled mischievously. "Oh, it's nothing complicated. I just need you both to drive scooters around some parts of the track before the session starts. I've already planned the 'Wheee' sounds to edit into the cuts."

Alex grimaced. "This is what I get for being related to you."

Jamie laughed. "Exactly. You agreed to this life."

Logan grinned, clearly amused. "Let's do it."

They grabbed two electric scooters, with Jamie sharing one with Alex, and made their way toward the track. The sun was just beginning to warm the air, and the paddock was starting to fill with team members and staff as they prepared for the day. The three of them joked as they drove past some of the garages, weaving around a few workers who were already setting up equipment.

As they cruised past the McLaren garage, Jamie's heart skipped a beat when she made eye contact with Lando. He stood just outside the garage, watching them pass by. It struck her as odd—Lando was not an early bird, and seeing him up and about this early made her curious. But she quickly shook the thought away, refusing to let him distract her from the task at hand. She focused on the video, pushing the brief encounter with Lando to the back of her mind.

They stopped at a few spots around the track, filming different angles of Alex and Logan riding the scooters, laughing as they made exaggerated "Wheee" sounds for the camera. The lightheartedness of the shoot helped Jamie stay relaxed, even as the track around them grew busier.

At one point, a group of drivers and race engineers, including the McLaren team, walked past them, discussing strategy for the upcoming session. Jamie noticed Lando out of the corner of her eye, and her mood soured instantly when she saw the dark look on his face. His jaw was clenched, and his eyes burned with a quiet fury that still hadn't subsided from their previous confrontation.

The sight of him made her pulse quicken, but this time, she wasn't in the mood to back down.

When she was sure the McLaren engineers weren't paying attention, she shot Lando a glare and raised her middle finger toward him, muttering under her breath, "Dickhead."

Lando's expression darkened even further. His hand curled into a tight fist at his side, and for a moment, Jamie thought he might actually confront her. His eyes locked with hers, tension crackling between them like a live wire. Lando took a step forward, and Jamie instinctively braced herself for whatever was about to happen.

But before he could do anything, his race engineer, Will, called him over. Lando's gaze lingered on her for a second longer, the threat unspoken but clear. He was still angry, and Jamie knew he wasn't going to let things go so easily. With one last scowl, Lando turned and followed the McLaren team.

Jamie let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding.

Behind her, Alex's laughter broke the silence. "You two looked like you were about to kill each other with just your eyes."
