Jamie and Lily arrived back at the hotel, both brimming with excitement. They had come up with a perfect plan to surprise Alex, and the best part? It involved a little bit of mischief. Jamie would lure Alex to the pool area under the pretense of feeling uncomfortable around a group of men who were bothering her, and once there, Lily would push Alex into the pool when he least expected it. The thought of Alex's shocked face made them both laugh as they finalized their prank.
"I love it," Lily said, still giggling. "I can't wait to see his reaction."
Jamie smiled, handing Lily the car keys. "You wait in the car for now. I'll go change into my bikini and get Alex to the pool. I'll text you when we're on the way to the pool. Once I give you the signal, you can sneak up behind him."
Lily nodded, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "This is going to be good."
Jamie quickly made her way to her room, changed into a bikini, and walked over to Alex's room. She knocked, expecting Alex to open the door, but to her surprise, it was George who greeted her again, a sly grin on his face.
"Morning again," George said, his voice low and teasing. His eyes quickly took in her bikini before he gave a playful whistle. "Looking good, Jamie."
Jamie rolled her eyes and punched his arm lightly. "Don't even start, George. Where's Alex?"
George chuckled, stepping aside to let her in. "Still asleep, probably tired from last night."
Sure enough, Alex was sprawled across the bed, looking dead to the world. Jamie grabbed a pillow from the floor and chucked it at him. Alex groaned, slowly turning over to see his sister standing there, dressed for the pool.
"What are you doing in here like that?" Alex asked, rubbing his eyes in confusion.
Jamie sighed, pretending to sound distressed. "I wanted to go for a swim, but there were these guys at the pool hitting on me. It made me really uncomfortable, and I told them to leave me alone, but they wouldn't listen."
Alex immediately perked up, fully awake now. "What? Are you okay? Why didn't you come to get me sooner?"
Jamie tried not to smile too much, playing into her role. "I didn't want to bother you, but can you come with me? I just feel safer with you around."
Without hesitation, Alex nodded. "Give me a few minutes. I'll take a quick shower and get changed."
"Thanks, Alex," Jamie said, smiling sweetly. She turned to leave the room but didn't notice that Lando and George had overheard the entire conversation.
About fifteen minutes later, Alex emerged from his room, freshly showered and ready to go—followed by Lando and George. Jamie frowned, confused and slightly irritated.
"Why are they coming?" she asked, crossing her arms.
Alex shrugged. "They said they wanted to come too. Better to have three guys watching out for you than just one, right?"
Jamie wanted to argue but realized that she couldn't blow her cover now. She sighed in defeat, then gestured for the boys to walk ahead of her. "Fine, but these two are walking in front of me. I don't want them staring at my ass while I walk."
Lando smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Too late for that. We already got a good view back in the room."
Jamie shot him a glare, feeling her temper rise, but before she could respond, Alex turned around and punched Lando lightly in the chest. "Don't talk about my sister like that."
Lando chuckled, rubbing his chest. "Relax, mate. I was only teasing."
Jamie sighed, relieved when Alex ordered Lando and George to walk ahead of them. She used the chance and texted Lily.
As they reached the pool, George and Lando flopped down onto lounge chairs, while Alex scanned the area.
