"YOU DID WHAT?"

Starlet shrinks at the realm goddess standing over her. Terra's entire body is covered in orange and blue flame. Molten rock set just beneath the surface of the immolating inferno. Wisps of clear hairlike structures along her head and body let off the most heat. Plasma. So hot that Starlet has to jump back after the greater goddess's outburst so as to not get burned.

Taking a second to dial it back a bit, Terra's flames smolder a bit as she rubs her temples. "Why did you give him a divine quest? Not to mention one so-"

"She isn't the one to give it to the little white runt." Terra turns at the haunting, guttural voice coming from behind her. "I did." Hissed the large individual with deep blue and white scales covering their bipedal body. A set of brown furs cover their lower body as the figure comes closer.

"Grimdrgandr (Grim-dr-gahn-dhier)..." Terra's eyes glow dark red as the scaled figure flinches. Shrinking down a bit as Terra seems to tower over them. The bravado and confidence that they showed a few seconds ago gone and replaced with meekness as they poke their clawed fingers together. "- tell me why you're giving out divine quests with such ease, less I use your fangs as toothpicks with every night during my evening meal I have you there to supply new ones when they grow back."

"Y-you are so cruel mistress Terra... I am merely acting upon the way of my own quest distribution that you approved of 342 years ago." The serpent bows their head under her gaze.

"Explain how this applies." Terra cools down enough for the two to approach. Her molten appearance rapidly changes as it cools down. The hardened magma starts to break away as green vines and small plant life begin to grow in the cracks. The fiery look in her eye cooling down and replacing the angry orange and dark red with a violet hue.

Starlet breathes a sigh of relief. 'Thank goodness Grimdrgandr answered my summons. The old snake is a bit crazy and a little psychotic but still a good friend.' She silently thanks her past self for sharing her love of old tomes with the (at first) intimidating individual. All it took was one inquiry to catch the old snake's interest. If you get past their eccentricities and slightly dimented habits then they are a perfectly nice deity.'

"-and with my place as trophy taker and seeker of retribution I fail to see a less suitable candidate for my once every 333 moon quest."

"Even if the hare grabbed the scout by his wrist and twisted it like a thin thread of twine?" Terra raises an eyebrow.

"I was informed of the actions taken and say it was justified given the context. So was the strangulation maneuver at such a rude inquiry directly after. In more recent context having your home invaded and your kin slaughtered is a sentiment I know far too well." The serpent looks the greater goddess in the eye. "I have granted this quest to Jack of the unnamed warren. Do you deny my claim, Terra, Goddess of the Natural Order?"

The greater goddess glares down at the serpent for a moment. The final embers dying out as she exhales a bit. "Very well Ascended Divine Beast Grimdrgandr. Also it's just Terra. You know I don't care for that god and goddess shit."

"Hey! No "Ascended Divine Beast" neither! Coming from you it's just creepy."

"For one of your standards that must be quite the compliment."

Starlet smirks as the two start to bicker. Despite being enemies that wanted each other dead so long ago the two are two peas in a pod these days. Turning back to the screen in front of her. Jack's status screen pulls up off to the side as she reaches into a bowl for more snacks. Finding it empty she huffs and looks around her. She had been watching the hare for a while now. While boredom was the biggest reason it would be a lie if she were to say she was not slightly invested in the monster.
