Dark.
That was it. Just dark. Oh yeah, also painful.
With how his body was being thrashed back and forth as well as slammed against a rough wall by another rougher wall, Jack had no idea what was going on. Trying to struggle proved to be difficult considering he didn't even had the room to breathe let alone fight back. The only thing his senses could tell him was that he was stuck inside of another living creature much bigger than himself.
'No way am I dying in a place like this. Not yet!' Grabbing one of the hard objects slamming him against the other in both of his hands, Jack shoves it away from himself with all the force he could muster. A thin crack of light followed by the feeling of rushing water greets him for a fraction of a second before he is subjected to the bone crushing pressure from before, returning with a vengeance. The object roughly dragging down the front of him hard enough to draw blood from the entire front half of his body was covered in dull spikes or something. He couldn't exactly see what was going on so he was stuck guessing based on feel. The small structures that make up the object shredding his chest, legs and face feel like jagged rocks was more than feel enough for him.
Opening his mouth wide he bites the wall in front of his face only for it to be revealed to be made of flesh with a boney core on the inside. He wasn't exactly thinking straight so even he didn't know why he did that. He was inside of something with a massive amount of Qi, probably inside of it's mouth by the river. Further piecing what information he could remember together while being thrown around and torn apart that's when it hit him.
'I just got eaten by a rutting fish.'
<<Great Long-bodied Arapaima Lvl.2>>
The tongue of the arapaima suddenly slams him against the bony plate that makes up the upper palate of the fish and starts to slowly drag it's tongue along his body. Ripping out his fur and hunks of skin alike. Mustering every ounce of energy he has Jack slowly rakes his reinforced claws down the tooth covered tongue in front of him barely managing to draw a few specks of blood before one of his nails snap from the pressure. On the upside he didn't have the oxygen to feel it.
This wasn't working.
'I'll be a fine paste long before I can cause enough injury to convince it to spit me out. Think of something, think of something, think of-' He blinks. "If I'm inside a fish it has to have gills. With a fish this big the gill bars might be big enough for me to tear through with my claws." They were designed to keep prey from going through not being pulled in by sharp claws. If this thing had them that is. Fish anatomy wasn't his forte and he only remembered some of what he had read about them.
That's what he told himself as he reached around himself, trying to fight off the effects of low oxygen. When Jack feels something that might be what he's looking for. Forcing his hand forward he feels an instant reaction from the creature. The boney tongue crushing him against the roof of its mouth redoubles its efforts only to freeze up at the feeling of fresh water flooding its mouth.
'That's right. Arapaima breathe air! That means-'
Next thing he knows he is thrown from the mouth of the fish and sent flying across the bank of the river. Covered in his own blood, Jack swears he can hear his bones crunching from the sudden violent slam against the rocky area. In his hand is a large chunk of the fish's gill bar. Such a large piece that there's a chance that the air breathing fish might die of drowning.
Struggling to sit up, Jack feels a hand on his shoulder and vaguely hears something to his side. The second he meaningfully moves his head he feels like he is going to puke. His vision not only swimming but it felt like the world was spinning at the same time. The sensation causes violent nausea that almost makes him puke.
