Grinding his teeth, the man tries to look around. It was difficult to do while being wrapped up in something soft but suddenly finding yourself stuck after woken up would give anyone a mild panic attack. He didn't know what just happened or what was going on but he had a pounding headache right now. He didn't think he drank last night.

'What the heck is going on? Why can't I open my eyes? Why can't I move?!?!?!'

Struggling to look around the man finds that he can barely move. His arms and legs were different than before. He was just so weak and tired... His throat wouldn't even work so he couldn't really voice his complaints. Being wrapped up in something only further foiled his attempts at locomotion.

"It is strange, normally the young can open their eyes once born. This one is a bit slower." The confused man feels a clawed finger tap the top of his head, each gentle touch feeling like too much. So he tries to move away from the contact. Suddenly the hand pulls away and he can hear a second voice snarl.

"Clay! Enough of that." The more feminine voice tries to calm down a bit before speaking up again. "I know you're worried but it hasn't even been two days yet. Give him time."

"S-sorry dear..." The masculine voice says with a bit of meekness at the end. "B-but... he hasn't made so much as a noise." To say he sounds deflated or sad would be a severe understatement.

"I know darling. I know. It wouldn't be the first time we had lost one of our little ones but it doesn't get easier."

'Hey! I'm not dead yet!' The little hare wiggles and moves making the mother squeak a bit.

"Oh my!" The woman watches as the bundle of joy in her arms jumps out and squeaks. With starry eyes the mother and father watch as the stark white furred youngling thumps the ground repeatedly and harrumphs at them. His eyes still weren't open but he seemed to have a fire in him. "I think I'll call you Jack."

"No complaints here." Spoke the buck.

Over the next three days little "Jack" (It was his name now. No point in holding onto his old one if this was a real Isekai situation) started moving around more and more. Apparently he had eight siblings that were already up and bouncing around after their first day. He can barely keep up with them when they want to play.

Good lord it was all the time... They were just so full of energy!

He had to get creative in disguising training and practice as "a new game" or "something fun" to try and distract him or make his body a bit stronger. It was quite an adjustment compared to him being alone for so long. He was an only child, he wasn't prepared for this.

He could barely open his eyes on the sixth day and by then he thought his siblings would never stop messing with him about his lack of sight.

His newfound parents found it amusing that he would make games with his siblings. Though they caught on quick that he was training his body. He didn't even know if it would work or not but there was no harm in trying. Jack's parents didn't tell him to stop and he needed something to do. They were incredibly sweet and did what they could within their abilities when it came to food. Yet they never let the young ones outside. They were too vulnerable, they said.

A part of the white hare questioned why but another knew the answer. It wasn't a good answer. Better to save it for another day.

While the warren was very large it was full of tight spaces and dead ends. He guessed in the event of a predator forcing its way in they would get lost or it would buy time to either run or hide but the place had so many zigs and zags that it was dizzying.
