"Is he fine?" Mayank asked immediately, while signing his wife to start packing for a few days.

"No, he-umm- he actually has a heart condition, along with a knife stabbed 13 inchs down his abdomen, and his head was hit twic-" Aadhyaa explained, while Mayank interrupted.

"I am coming there to check that head injury." He said, and got up with the phone.

"I was coming to that. I called you to ask whether you could come over." Aadhyaa finished while he nodded vigorously.

"We will be there in 3 hours, I am getting the jet. Don't worry, it will be alright, I am coming there now." Mayank said and ended the call.

Aadhyaa knelt to the ground and weeped hard. She heard the door knock, so she wiped and pacified herself before asking the person to enter.

"Ma'am, I am an intern at this hospital. I actually examined the patient named Harshan, and well, the knife actually cut through lots of vessels, and apparently the knife was heated as well, so there is a severe need for a surgeon who is good at vessel reconstruction." A young man in his twenties said.

"Umm, vessel reconstruction? Okay, I will arrange. But did you say heated knife? Is the police informed? What is your name, by the way?" Aadhyaa replied in a professional voice.

"Myself Alok Ashish kumar Ma'am." Alok said after nodding to her questions and left the room.

Aadhyaa was confused about who was the best at vessel reconstruction and all, then she remembered her old best friend in high school.

"Hello? Dr. Vivek K.Sashwik Speaking." A cool voice of a man who was around the same age as Aadhyaa was heard through the speaker.

"Umm, hi Vivek. This is Aadhyaa. Aadhyaa Mahadevan." Aadhyaa introduced herself nervously.

"Aadhyaa? Aadhi bro, is that you?" Vivek asked. The surprise in his voice was obvious.

"Yeah, it is me. How are you?" She replied with an awkward laugh.

"I am fantastic, I mean, where were you? How are you? How is everyone at home and all? What made you call me after 7 years?" Vivek asked, smiling.

"Umm, yeah that is the thing." She said, sighing.

"What happened bro?" He asked, concerned.

"My older brother, Harshan, umm, actually he got injured pretty badly, and he, like, needs some vessels and nerve reconstruction in his abdomen. Could you please-?" She explained, while Vivek started to collect his things to move.

"Of course, I'll be there. Where is he admitted?" He asked, moving to his front door while continuing the call.

"Umm, Aadhyank group of medical care, the one near your house? Just come to the chairman's office as soon as you reach." She instructed him while he nodded and hummed.

"Wait, how do you know where I live? That's creepy." Vivek said, halting suddenly.

"I know where every friend of mine is, I just didn't come and talk." She said, her voice dripping with guilt.

"We will talk about this directly, now wait and relax until I come." He said and hung up.

Aadhyaa was pacing around the margins of her office room when Alok burst through her door, panting hard.

"Alok? Okay, first catch your breath and then talk." Aadhyaa said, walking to him.

"Ma'am, Harshan's family is here. I was hoping if you found anyone to do the reconstruction?" Alok said.

"Yes, I found someone, an old friend of mine. Dr. Vivek Sashwik. He will be here in like 7-8 mins. And for the brain injury, I approached a friend, we can do that in 4 hours after the doctor arrives okay? First, let's get the reconstruction done, then the heart and finally the head, we will follow this order okay?" Aadhyaa said in a fast tone, while Alok noted it down in a hurry.

"Would you like to meet the family?" Alok asked suddenly, making Aadhyaa halt.

"Why would I want to?" She asked.

"Just because you seem quite involved in this case. He is your patient so as his doctor, you should meet the family right?" Alok explained and she nodded.

They both moved out of her office after she collected her coat and steth.
