Chapter 5 - Red Talks about Her Ex and Past

The Author's POV 

Red takes me and Chloe to the couch and explains to us who that guy was, which by the way his name is Ace. Red also talks about how he won't take no for an answer and how Ace, her ex boyfriend, abused her and left scars all over her. When Red told us this all I felt was anger in my body because what kind of boy would lay their hands on a girl like that. That's when me and Chloe told her that she has nothing to worry about because she's safe now. We also both reassure Red that we will keep her safe and that she can trust us. She also opened up to us about what her mom did to her in Wonderland and how her own mother would torture her. The biggest thing that threw me for a loop was that Red's own mother would burn her with different items especially with hearts and cut them. 

Red's POV 

I finally was able to open up and talk to them about my past with my Ex and my mother. I was shocked that they were willing to listen because in the past nobody ever really listened to me or cared about my feelings. The biggest thing I struggled to talk to them about was the burning and how my mom would also cut the burns. I think they felt bad for me because they looked at me with pity in their eyes. 

Chloe's POV 

Red takes me and Kylie to the couch to explain who Ace is and how he used to abuse her. The biggest shock was that her own mother also abused her. Reds own mother would torture her and worse she would cut the burns.
