Chapter 19 - Turning Red Back to Normal

The Author's POV 

Me, Chloe, and Red make our way back to the dorm and the guards are still standing there and let us enter. We discuss how we should go about taking the fox spirit out of Red. I glow my eyes again and that's when I see the devices again that are connected to her mind and all the way down to her heart. I look through my dad's notebook and Red comes over and sits next to me and puts her arm around me and I see something about the devices and see that it is connected to also taking out the fox spirit. After reading I find out how to remove the devices. 

Red's POV 

We get back to our dorm and we discuss a plan to get the devices out of me and the fox spirit. I am worried about these devices that are connected to my mind and heart. I can see that Kylie is looking through the notebook. I go over to her and sit down next to her and put my arm around her. Kylie looks through the notebook to see how to remove the devices and the fox spirit and that's when she tells me she finds it. 

Chloe's POV 

We got back to our dorm. We discuss a plan to get the devices and fox spirit out of Red and we discuss a way to get it out as soon as possible before it does any damage to her. Kylie looks through the notebook looking for a way to remove the devices and she finds it. 

The Author's POV 

I tell Red and Chloe that the only way to remove the device is that Red will have to go back under in order for me to remove the devices. I can see their expressions change when I tell them this, but I reassure them that it will work. 

Red's POV 

I am nervous about going back under because of what happened last time, but now I am surrounded by people I trust. I tell Kylie I'm ready and she starts getting everything ready. 

Chloe's POV 

I can see that Red is nervous, but I am also nervous. I don't want Red going under, but if it's the only way then we have to do what we have to do to save Red. 

The Author's POV 

I prepare a table for Red to lay on and go get something to put her under. I come back with the supplies and Chloe holds Red's hand while I get ready to administer the anesthesia into Red. Just before I do I ask Red if she's sure she wants to go through with this and she says yes. I administer the anesthesia and tell Chloe to step out, but she tells me she wants to help me monitor Red's vitals. I get started and I am able to disconnect the device on her mind and remove it carefully and then I get started on the device on her heart and remove it carefully. I glow my eyes again and make sure that there are no more devices and there aren't any. I finish up and then I tell Chloe that it is completed and we pull Red out of anesthesia. 

Chloe's POV 

While Kylie administers the anesthesia into Red I stay and monitor Red's vitals. I see that Kylie is working on removing the devices in Red and she glows her eyes and tells me she's checking to see if there are any more devices and she tells me no there aren't any. She then tells me it's completed and we both pull Red out of anesthesia. 

Red's POV 

I am laying there on the table. I want these devices removed from my body. Kylie asks me again if I am sure I want to go through with this and I say yes. She starts to administer the anesthesia to me and I start to drift into a deep sleep. The next thing I am awake and Kylie is telling me that the devices have been removed.
