I was vaguely confused when two days went by without any sign of Anthony.

I thought I would be seeing him more often now that my parents were gone but I thought maybe he gave up on me or something.

Until the door bell rang one cloudy morning interrupting me doing another one of those stupid review sheets.

I sighed as I pushed my chair back, did Mom order something before they left? Why didn't she tell me to keep an eye out for packages?

I opened the door expecting to see a delivery man but it was just Anthony who was playing with the collar of his shirt. "Hi, Garrett."

I could tell something was off from the way he looked down at the porch.

"Oh, hey. Where were you yesterday? And the day before?" I asked.

"Like you care. Something personal came up, but now that it's over I can give you my full attention." He replied.

I found myself kind of hurt as he said that, "I do care. Why do you think I'm such a monster?"

"Same to you." Anthony narrowed his eyes at me as he entered the house.

I rolled my eyes and pushed the door open for him. "I needed your help anyway, I'm stuck on a new worksheet."

"Well, I'd be delighted to help you Garrett, but aren't you forgetting something?" Anthony said as he sat down on the couch.

"Yeah, yeah I'm locking the door. No one's gonna break in." I replied as I locked the door.

"Oh, I'm quite sure of that," He chuckled, "But you're forgetting something important."

"What?" I asked as I stepped into the living room.

Anthony looked at me and tapped his mouth, "Did you forget the rules already?"

"I forgot about that," I said and stood there awkwardly as he stared at me with a look I couldn't read.

"Alright, I'll make the first move this time," He got up and came over to me. "But, you know what I expect."

I blushed as he lifted my chin up and kissed me deeply and hungrily. When I pulled away, he looked disappointed, almost like he wanted something else.

"Let me establish one more rule, only I end the kiss." He grabbed me back and placed his mouth on mine once again.

After about a minute he let me go, my face was pink as I tried to catch my breath. "Damn, " I wheezed, "You're an intense kisser."

"I figured, it just takes a lot of practice. Everyone loves a good kisser, one day you could sweep someone off their feet." He patted my shoulder and walked over to the table.

"What did you need help with?" He asked as he sat down and turned on the radio.

"Oh, just problem four. My calculator wasn't working." I said as he fiddled with it.

"Who actually likes The Police?"Anthony laughed as he passed the rock station, "They had one good hit and now everyone loves them. I'll send an sos to the world to never hear them again."

"What? You don't like every breath you take?" I said.

"Not particularly, message in a bottle is better. That was Vannie's favorite song," He glanced up at me, "Vanessa, my student."

"I remember." I said, "She was really pretty."

"Yes, well, she's not here now is she?" Anthony looked irritated, "Let me see number four."
