"This is insane, you're insane!" I said as we got off the plane.

Anthony grabbed my hand and pulled me along. "Shh, we can talk about it later. Let's just focus on getting out of here."

I wanted to scream, cry, and stab him all at once but I decided to control myself. It wasn't worth it. I couldn't go anywhere.

We got out of the airport and headed into the bustling city that was New York.

Bright lights, loud people, and the constant blaring of horns excited me to a certain extent.

"Can we go to Times Square?" I asked and stepped onto a crosswalk.

"You do realize it's nine o'clock here, right?" He replied and dragged me towards a street corner. "Stay out of the street by the way."

"Wait, what? I thought we left around one!" I exclaimed.

"Yes, one o'clock California time! The flight was six hours, it's nine here, seven o'clock in Santa Monica."

"So, why did you bring me here if we weren't even going to do anything fun?" I grumbled.

"Relax, we'll pass it when we go to our hotel, don't worry Garrett, carrot we'll have a great time." He assured me as he hailed a cab.

I've never been in a taxi before, I had to say, it was refreshing to have someone else to drive Anthony around for once.

"This is cool." I whispered as we sat down in the uncomfortable seats.

"Take us to the Times Square Hotel." Anthony told the taxi driver as he took his wallet out.

"Wait, you have to pay for this?" I asked.

"Garrett, nothing is free these days! You mean to tell me that they don't have taxis in Los Angeles?" He said.

"L.A. huh?" The driver commented, "That's a long ways away."

"Oh, no. He's from California, I'm a local. My father owns funeral homes here." Anthony replied.

"You're that DeVille boy, huh?" The driver glanced at him in the review mirror. "Thought you looked familiar. I've driven your father around a few times."

Anthony blushed and put his hand in my lap, "How nice."

"Yeah, he tips well." We started to drive through the crowded streets.

I covered my mouth to stop my laughter. I didn't need to piss Anthony off right now.

It was a quiet drive for the most part. I gasped as we passed Times Square, "Oh, wow! That's awesome."

Anthony smiled, "You're cute. So impressed by the simplest of things."

"I've never been here! Technically, you should be taking me to all the tourist locations." I replied.

"I will, I promise. Maybe we'll see a Broadway show and see the Empire State building." He said.

"Really? We'll go in it and everything?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, the observation deck is a view to die for! I'm so excited!" He wrapped his arm around me. "I'm so glad you're here." He whispered.

"I didn't have a choice," I whispered back.

He frowned and pinched my shoulder, "That's enough out of you."

"Here's your stop." The driver looked annoyed as he parked the car in front of the hotel.

"Thank you. Now, I am my father's son," He said as I got out of the car to get his luggage from the trunk.

"But, I don't tip. It's your job to drive, why should I tip you for that?" Anthony got out and slammed the door. "Let's go, Garrett."
