"I don't want you to leave." I hugged Anthony tighter.

"Why, don't you want your parents to come back?" He chuckled and kissed the top of my head.

I didn't think it was possible to get so attached to Anthony but in the time we spent together, I found myself not wanting to let go of him that morning.

Technically, it was a Thursday so I was supposed to be in school but Anthony assured me that he would talk to my parents, I knew they would listen to anything he said so I was good.

"I do, but I'm just having a nice time with you." I pressed my face into his chest.

"Garrett, I'm touched. Come here," Anthony whispered and lifted my chin up to kiss me.

We laid there for a little, kissing and hugging until he broke away and got out of bed.

"Oh, why did I let you convince me into getting in bed with you? Look at my pants!" He laughed as he smoothed down his wrinkled pant leg.

"You always look fancy and... expensive. I think you need a new look." I said.

I got out of bed and grabbed my comb from the dresser. "Ugh, damn knots." I mumbled as I moved it through my hair.

"I wish your hair was longer, I've always thought boys with short hair were boring." Anthony said.

"Nah, I don't like that look, it's too much to manage." I replied.

Anthony looked thoughtful as he watched me, "I was never allowed to grow out my hair. I've had the same haircut since I was fifteen."

"Really?" I set the comb down and looked at his wavy dark hair. "I think it fits you, bland and formal."

"At least I don't look like some punk." Anthony glared at me as he walked out of my room. "I'll be downstairs."

"Punk?" I laughed as I followed him, "You really think I look like that?"

He looked exasperated as he pulled his car keys out from his pocket. "I mean, look at your clothes. When's the last time you've put a suit on instead of those street clothes?"

"Hey, I wore a suit for picture day." I said defensively.

"Oh, yeah? When was that?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Fifth grade." I mumbled.

"Exactly my point," He smirked. "Now you dress like you're going to graffiti a train."

"Not funny." I said as he laughed at his joke.

"I'll see you later, my little carrot." Anthony patted my head and headed out the door to pick up my parents from the ship docks.

After watching the family car pull away from the front of the house, I walked into the kitchen to grab some yogurt.

I spooned some into a bowl and strolled into the living room to watch T.V. before my parents came back.

I was a little nervous waiting for their return, did I look different from the time I spent with him? Did I look more mature now? Of course, they would never know what we did while they were gone but it was something worth wondering about.

I finished the last spoonful of yogurt and got up to put everything into the sink. As I was washing my bowl, I decided I should probably work on a review sheet to show that I've been productive this whole time.

A little while later, I heard a loud knock on the door. I jumped up from my seat and opened the door. "Mom! Dad!"

"Garrett!" They replied in unison. My mother wrapped me up in a big hug as my dad and Anthony stepped past her.
