AN: Basically the death scenes for Anthony's students
Vannie
I decided I wasn't angry with her anymore. How could I be with that pretty, tear stained face of hers?
After I calmed down, I walked over to the cabinet and grabbed a loaf of bread. Toast made everything better, I remember my mother used to make it for us when we were having a bad day, the butter and brown sugar were always the cure to my attitude.
She was having a bad day, that was all. I knew she would feel better after I made her eat.
It was starting to storm outside, I smiled as lightning flashed across the sky. I knew Vanessa would be scared, maybe I would let her out and she would let me hug her.
"Vannie! Look what I made, it's kind of burnt but I think you'll enjoy-" I walked into the room to find her gone. "It."
Her room that once used to be pink and bright was now bare. She had ripped the wallpaper off and broken her crucifix which laid in half on the floor.
"Shit. Vanessa, what have you done?" I muttered and set the plate down. How did she open the window?
I noticed some water leaking from behind the curtain. I curiously pushed it back and saw the broken shards of glass. The window was broken.
The book I gave her, Wuthering Heights, was neatly placed by the window still, shards of glass all over it.
I took a deep breath and tried to stay calm, I have to bring her back. She needs to stay here.
I sped downstairs and threw the front door open. "Vanessa!"
It was pouring as I stepped outside and frantically looked around for any sight of her. It was damn near impossible because of the rain but I wasn't going to let that stop me.
"Vannie! Come back!" I desperately called and hurried down the street. How long ago had she escaped? She could be anywhere now.
I walked down fifth avenue calling her name, the sidewalk under me slick and wet, almost causing me to slip several times.
I shouted until my voice was hoarse, just when I thought she was gone forever, I saw her, her long auburn hair sticking to her face as she ran across a street.
"Vannie!" I screamed and went after her.
She turned around at the sound of her nickname and went pale. She quickly started to run in the opposite direction.
Stupid girl. Stupid, silly girl. What was she thinking? She knew she needed me, we belonged together.
I followed her until she stopped by a crosswalk. "Vannie!"
"Get away from me!" She shouted, her hair blowing around her face, she never looked so beautiful.
The road was slick as I made my way over to her, "You can't run away from me! You love me!"
"I hate you!" She screamed and ran out into the street. "Help! Help me!"
I control myself any longer, "You stupid bitch! Get back here!"
She turned around in the middle of the street, her eyes were wide, she was scared, I realized, she knew she had to give up.
Vanessa looked like she was about to say something, but suddenly, there was a car flying down the streets, it didn't look like it was going to stop.
"Look out!" I yelled from across the street.
Her horrified expression was the last thing I saw before the car sped down the road. I couldn't save her.
