You called me crazy, you said it so loud for the whole class to hear. All because I was interested in the subject you were teaching that year. But boy let me tell you, that comment would haunt me for years to come. Maybe part of the reason why everything feels so fucking numb. It took a lot of time to undo the harm that little comment made. I'm sure you don't even remember it as memories start to fade. You also taught English, something I didn't know too well. Obviously you had mad kids to teach so I'm sure you couldn't tell. That the crazy kid that you had called out turned into a poet. I hope that you get to read this, and I hope that you don't regret it.
