Draped In A Mere Fantasy

Chapter Four

"Third test: Energy manipulation" Daisy announced. I clenched my hands into fists then opened, creating balls of energy on both hands and threw them onto a tree blowing it off. "Good so now you will survive if the bad guys try to hurt you" "Exactly" Tom cooed. "But.." I started. "But what?" Daisy asked, frowning in confusion. "Remember I told you when I got out of control.. There are some..words I said in a strange language?" "We do.. Don't tell it was a spell" "then what was it?" "Okay so I really have no idea..maybe it was a spell, you said something happened after you said those words right?" "Yeah, they got tied up in this weird glowing rope but they broke it" "It was a spell.. Okay, maybe you're using a fraction of your powers..but your real powers were what you did yesterday" Tom explained. I gave him a droll look "What the-" "-what, I do know about magic and stuff and I didn't watch fantasy movies and read novels for nothing" "Okayy" "So, what's next?" "Digging in deeper into this issue" Daisy suggested. I raised my brow and she sighed "We need to find out why you got these powers? Where you got them? Where your sister is? And if you're able to make one of those stupid portals to get her.." "She is in another world" Tom blurted. "What?" "Yeah, what?" Daisy chided. Tom facepalmed then said "That portal took her into another world it cant just take her to nowhere, she's in another world" he explained.

"That's impossible" "Well you just blasted a tree was that impossible?" "I know but the whole other world thing? No" I said. "You have dreams about you being in different places, that explains it" "Well they are just dreams" "So even having a dream of that woman you saw was a dream right?" Tom drawled. He was right. Maybe they did have some meaning. "Oh man" I sat down, they joined me "Where am I going to start? I dont even know anything.." "Relax..you will get answers, just take this all of this in first okay?" Daisy said and I nodded. They continued instructing me while I continued practicing my powers, until 5 p.m and they had different plans. Tom had a date with his boyfriend Jax, Daisy was going shopping with her mom and I.. Well had no plans, so I went home and started watching anime. Mom and dad were still at work so I was alone, when it reached 8 p.m I started feeling weird, I turned my eyes orange that's when I got the feeling again and this time it was intense.

I got up sensing an energy shift, I turned off my eyes and got prepared for whatever was going to come. I charged my hands with power and started walking around the house, but the energy shift was more intense when I was about to go upstairs, I tiptoed upstairs and saw light flickering from under my bedroom door, I tiptoed to the door and pressed my left ear, listening. I heard a soft hum and immediately got angry. This was the same thing that was happening before my sister was sucked inside that portal..well except the part where I noticed the energy shift and the booming sound, what if its the same portal that took my sister? Only one way to find out.. I grabbed the handle and opened the door, raising my hands ready for action but no one was there just...a portal. And then I heard another booming sound then the front door burst open, I tensed then decided to run downstairs to see a group of people, not wearing hoodies. Some had long hair, some short and one had green eyes, I think he was the leader he was tall and intimidating, with his dark blonde hair. "Madison... You need to come with us, that's an order" The man said. "No.. I'm not coming with you" I said. The man chuckled while shaking his head "I think its best if you do, you don't want to end up like your sister" he exclaimed. I immediately got weak, He's just getting in my head, its not true... "I'm sure she's missing you a-" "-shut up!" I snapped and my eyes turned yellow, the lights started flickering but the man wasn't intimidated even the slightest.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you-" "-but you're not which makes it even more interesting" I said with confidence that I didn't know where it came from. I shot fire at him but he turned it off with a wave of his hand, "You know I could just kill you right now if I want to" "then what are you waiting for?" Okay, what the hell was I doing?! He waved his hand and I was sent flying, slamming on a wall. I got up and threw a force wave throwing him across the room, I smirked. One of his crew members, long haired, he created a ball of energy using both hands but I threw a fireball and it shattered, knocking all of us and a few things off. I grunted in pain and before I could get up the leader of the gang threw web looking fire ropes at me, I was done.. He was going to kill me! Before they could reach me, a shield appeared and they hit the shield instead, shattering it and disappearing in the process living trails of smoke.
