Draped In A Mere Fantasy

Chapter Nine

"I'm sorry Maddie, I just wanted to tell you that..I don't recommend dark spells. It's dangerous" Vanessa said as we had taken a seat at the back of the building. Well of course the roof collapsed, but luckily we made it through. "Its okay, but I really had no choice, the robot was about to attack, so I had no time for choosing a spell" I explained.

"Okay people, now that the air is cleared, we need to figure out a plan to go rescue your mom and dad Vayra" Lily announced as she also sat. "But how are we going to do that? The building will be crawling with tons of robots" I stated.

"That's why we have discu-" Vanessa's words were cut off by a sound of movement. We all snapped out heads up to find a troop of people, let's say soldiers because they had wore a blue and black uniform. They were right infront of us, they all had guns with them and had aimed them at us.
"Surrender and follow us" One said. A man with short wavy hair and glasses, okay scratch that. It was glass because it was only worn in one eye, it then emitted some light and scanned us.

"Identified: Vayra, Vanessa, Madison and Lily. Awaiting order" the same man said and we then heard another deep voice "Wait, we are taking them with us" a man stepped out of the army, his uniform was more armored, he was a little short.
"Yes Commander Kil" the soldier said "Hands above your head" he continued. I looked at the girls and they nodded, I hesitantly raised my hands. The soldier started walking to us open his palm, conjuring a small ball that shifted into handcuffs. Oh My...I can't believe we are getting captured, Isn't there anything we can do? A spell? What if my magic backfired again?

Before the soldier reached us we heard a gunshot and the soldier fell down, he wasn't human because he was shot on the head and he wasn't bleeding, only the sound of wires cracking was heard. I gasped, looked properly at the dead robo soldier beneath me. The commander raised his gun looking for anyone who did it but a ball rolled to them "Take cover!" then it separated and blew up and releasing gas at the same time. Wait am I dreaming? Who was doing this?

A boy came running "Come on, follow me this way!" He looked at me with such shock, making me frown in confusion then turned back and started walking faster, my guess he was sorta 15.
"Well what are we waiting for?" I said.

"Wait, what if it's just another trick they are pulling to catch us" Lily grabbed my hand.

The gas had started fading.

"Do you have a better option? I don't know about you guys but the thought of being captured doesn't sound appealing to me" I said.

"Ugh, fine..." Vanessa said as we took off, to the boy's direction. We ran to their car and got right in. It was round and had glass doors, and no wheels, so obviously it was a flying car. "So, who are you guys?" Lily asked. "The Rogue Resistance, that's our a.k.a" "Cool, straight out of a movie" I mused. The boy who told us to follow him, asked "So how did you guys find out that we needed help" Vanessa asked.

"Well, our readings were off the charts when we were near the abandoned building, so we knew that much power comes from a radius generator and uh, some powerful mechs, but the old building doesn't have any generator, what's left of it and mechs? Not possible" the driver said. "How did you...why are you with them?" The other one said eyeing me as if knowing me. "What do you mean, oh" it dawned on to me. He's talking about this universe's me. "I'm not from here" "Wait, you're from another universe? How did you reach here?"

"Lily" I looked at her, she smiled then it fell. "My power is still violent..I can feel it" we reached an alleyway and the doors opened, stepping out to check the view. The alleyway was a bit dark, with a few entrances. The driver, his name's Toby. He tapped onto his wrist three twice and behind us the air shifted and a wall appeared. I wasn't surprised. Literally, I can throw fire so..I have seen weird shit already. This is a little normal.
