Draped In A Mere Fantasy

Chapter Eight

The robot walked slowly, it's movements calculated. Vayra stepped infront and her hands transformed again. The metal that was on those hands, it was golden, and the symbols were emitting a soft glow, her eyes turned purple and she said "Too dangerous, without your magic..find someplace to hide" The robot started increasing it's pace. We moved aside and kept walking away from Vayra only for it to reach out for the protruded part on top of it's head and removed it. It glowed on the edges and blades shot from the hollow places, it now became hat shaped.

It grabbed the now transformed weapon firmly and threw it at us, My eyes widened and I took off just as the weapon headed my direction. Before it reached me, I tossed myself to the sunken part of the roof, the weapon grazed my hand just as I fell down. I held my hand as it started slightly bleeding, the weapon returned back to the robot as it grabbed it. Vayra picked up a metal pipe and spun it then positioned herself properly "Guys leave..now"

Vanessa touched Vayra's metal pipe and whispered something then the pipe changed into a glowing staff. The robot jumped high up in the air then tossed the hat weapon at Vayra then descended with the staff, Vayra knocked the weapon out of her way then dodged as the robot landed there heavily. In the meantime, I asked Vanessa "What are we going to do now? Just watch her?" "We can't fight that thing without magic, just look at it, could've been better if it was human" "She told us to go" "And leave her here?" "Got a better option?" Lily snapped and urged us to move.

As we started to return back down, we saw a robot followed by another one. "Oh no..I totally forgot that we were just running from them" I raised my hands then remember..my backpack. It can help. And its down there. "Guys, I think my backpack has something it can help us" "Where's it?" "Down there...I need you to stall them while I go get it" "Are you sure?" "There's no other way" "I can go get it" "No...I will" The robot raised it's hand, charging it, so did the other one. Vanessa reached in her pockets and took 5 small balls that had symbols on them. "Hurry" she said then threw them at the robot.

At the same time, the robots shot beams, while the balls flew to them, Vanessa raised her hands and yelled "Aeternum Porta Aperi" The balls froze and quickly formed a circle then a barrier was created and the laser beams bounced off. The barrier then got bright "Hurry Maddie! Go!" I ran towards the barrier as it spread more, I jumped in. Wait.. there's no light...and I'm falling! Oh My God! I'm falling in darkness..I can't see anything! "Heeeeelp! Vanessa! Lily!" I kept screaming then I felt my feet landing just as the ground shattered into pieces. It was made up of glass..? Where did she send me?

I kept falling as I screamed then my hands started leaving a trail of light, I tried waving my hand and it sure left a trail of light. I could hear my frantic breathing and my screams echoed. Then below me I saw a pool of water..it was glowing. I braced myself as I plunged into it...

*"Do you think that you'll forever keep her from finding out? She will know.. and she is part of the prophecy. Do you think she will do it?.. because without her, the prophecy is incomplete, so don't tell me no one out there won't know it. She won't stay long" A woman said, she was..in our home. She was wearing a white dress over high heels, her back was facing..me. Her black hair was long, she then turned to me.

"We both know that it's inevitable right? You must do something about it" "Do what?" I say in confusion to whoever I was in this vision. "Kathy..you know there's no choice.. Red Leaf witches are dangerous and you know it. Kill her before she decides to destroy the world..wait..worlds one day" Wait, so, this woman's name is Kathy. Just like my mother's name. "I'm not killing her! She's my daughter for Christ's sake! Do you think it's easy?" I said automatically again and this time with pure anger, I think when I'm someone in my vision..I feel their emotions too.
