Draped In A Mere Fantasy

Chapter Three

"That was a close call" Daisy said over the phone. "I know, he could've killed me right then..if it wasn't for him being tossed away by..whatever that was" I replied sitting on my bed in my pajamas after recovering from the shock of almost getting killed, I don't know who that was but he had freaking powers and he almost killed all of us. Okay, I know I have powers too which I just found out recently, but I don't know how to control them yet. After I had reached home, I pretended to be okay infront of mom and dad so they don't find out what happened to me. "Maddie..this is not okay, why does someone want to kill you out of a sudden?" "I wish I knew.." "You get some rest okay? I'll see you tomorrow" "Okay goodnight" "You too" I hung up and put my phone on the bedside table.

"Who was he? Why did he want to kill me? How did I get these powers? Is that the same person who took my sister? I just hope she's okay wherever she is" I thought while holding the necklace, I needed to find answers but were  to start? I dont know. But I know I will get answers, with that thought I decided I needed to sleep, I was exhausted from all that happened today. I turned off the lights and closed my eyes but I couldn't sleep because the man kept popping in my mind, and my glowing hands, me blowing up the sink, teleporting, nearly getting killed. It was all too much! I opened my eyes and sighed then opened the drawer and took my AirPods, connected to the phone, selected a playlist then slumped into bed and closed my eyes... After a few minutes I fell asleep having one of those weird dreams again.

*I was standing in a forest, I began slowly turning around, observing the evergreen environment. I started walking barefoot not knowing where to go, I then heard a voice it sounded distant, I heard my name being called. I looked left, nothing, looked right still nothing. "Who are you?!" I shouted. "I am Altricia" the voice said calmly. I turned around to find a woman who was wearing a blue dress, she had long blue hair and blue eyes and her skin was so...flawless. "Why are you so..bluey?" I asked. She smiled. "And where am I? Why am I here?" "You are in a dream, I just brought us here.. The reason you're here is because I wanted to talk to you but I'm not going to explain everything since we don't have much time.. I know you're shocked but you have magic inside you and you were attacked by someone-" "wait how did you know? Its true, I was attacked by someone he said it was my time to die" "I know dear, but right now you need to find out about your powers first in order to protect yourself from beings who will continue hunting you, When you know how to use your powers you need to come to Glahxia because it is really important, you need-" her words were cut off by an explosion that shook the ground "We need to leave! They found us!" "Who?! And where's my sister?!" I shouted. A large meteor-like fire ball landed between Altricia and I throwing us off the ground, I landed hard*

Waking up breathing rapidly and my heart pounding like crazy, I then remembered the dream, I took my phone, checking the time. It was 03.40 a.m, I was sweating like crazy and my throat was dry, I got up and headed to the kitchen, I took a bottle of water from the fridge and drank it sitting on a chair regardless the darkness. My hands started glowing again this time it was a soft orange glow, I looked at them and motioned my right hand at the fridge and it opened wide, I focused again but it didn't close this time and the glow faded. I got up and closed the door then started walking back to my room, when I entered the living room I heard a hum. I followed the source of the sound to find a soft glow outside. Curiosity got the best of me, I opened the door and found a portal,I was shocked and thought maybe this could lead me to my sister! But this portal had purple swirls of energy, And a man exited the portal. "Hello Madison" he said, his voice raspy. "Who are you..?" I choked. "Doesn't matter, you're going to die" he said. I was so scared and started backing away and fumbling for the door handle but the door was locked. "Help! Mom! Daad!" I shouted but the man laughed, "no one can hear you" he pointed up. When I looked, I saw a force field cutting through the half of the house. "Just give in, and I will make your death slightly painful" he rasped.
