"Hongjoong, I want to say something to you.."
They were outside of Yunho's cabin, just staring out at the night sky.
"Yes, my darling?" Hongjoong responded warmly.
"I made the decision that if you.. you know, meet your fate. I want to stay away from everyone else as far as possible. Stay back in the Ice Folks mountains and never return." he says with a heavy heart.
"Why though? I think you guys should still be happy together even without me."
"It won't be the same." he glanced at his face.
He chuckles, "I guess it would be a litte different."
"Hongjoong, I'm too dangerous for you guys. I don't know how to control my powers, and look where it got me. I can't be around you anymore, I just don't belong here anymore."
"You are not dangerous, hwa." he slowly said each word with reassurance and a smile.
Seonghwa stared at him with sadness, "What if I lose control over my powers and one of them end up like you? Joong, I don't want that."
"You won't, trust me." Hongjoong says, "Because I would always be watching over you, I would be the voice you hear in your head, making sure you don't do anything to cause them harm."
"What if I unintentionally ignore it? I won't ever forgive myself for it."
Hongjoong put a hand on his shoulder, "It's not your fault, really."
"Joong.."
"Shh~" he quietly says, pecking his lips to shut him up. "Things in my life has been happening to me twice - first, almost executed. Second, cursed. Third, still loved by you. And I don't regret any of it."
Seonghwa's lips cracked a stupid little smile.
In that moment, everyone else walked out the front door. Gathering infront of the cabin, gathering wood for a large bonfire which they would sit by and tell random stories, myths, legends and folktales. Anything you could possibly think of.
It was one of their routines in the friend circle. Every weekend atleast some interesting and thrilling stories has to be told.
Seonghwa chuckled to himself, with everyone outside with them. The mood had lifted up a little, he regained his smile.
"Can anyone grab me some wood?" Yunho asked loudly, crouching down infront of the piled up chopped woods, attempting to start a fire.
"You don't need more wood, watch me light this up." Mingi who was beside him was rubbing two pieces of stones together, creating friction that would turn into heat and then into fire.
