I was in the middle of buttoning up my shirt when I heard the sound of the bathroom door opening. I turned to see Rose stepping out of the bathroom, dressed in a pink salwar suit.

She was looking breathtaking - her hair in loose curls, her eyes sparkling with excitement. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of her. I quickly schooled my expression, not wanting to betray my emotions, but inside my heart was racing.

I swallowed, fighting the urge to comment on how beautiful she looked. I didn't want her to think I was some kind of creep, ogling and commenting on her appearance. So I just gave her a curt nod, keeping my voice even. "You're ready?"

She nodded, a bright smile on her face. "Yep," she said, her voice cheerful. "Ready to go back to the madness of the hospital."

I paused, looking at her as she gave me the adorable puppy dog eyes. My resolve weakened, and I found it hard to resist. "What is it?" I asked, a small smile tugging at my lips.

She gave me another sweet, pleading look. "Well, I just need a minute to fix my hair," she said, reaching up to touch a strand of her curls. "And, put on bindi, and vermillion and last, promise last, lipstick." she pleaded with her for eyes. "Can you wait for just a bit?"

"Can you wait for just a bit?"
