Tails is tinkering with some new invention when Sonic bursts through the door. Shadow is right behind him, never more than a step away.

"Sonic? What's going on? You look... tense." Tails said, suprised.

Sonic looked over his shoulder nervously. "Yeah, we've got a situation. A real big one."

Tails glances at Shadow, who is standing closer to Sonic than usual, his body language screaming 'guard dog.'

"Uh... what kind of situation?" Tails said , scratching his head.

Sonic grabs Tails and pulls him aside, whispering.

: "Eggman hit Shadow with some kind of potion. It's made him... obsessed with me. Like, really obsessed. I don't know how long I can keep dodging this. He watched me sleep like a stalker.."

"Oh. Wow. That's... not good. Did Eggman say anything about how to reverse it?" Tails said, his eyes wide.

"Nope. He just ran off crying when things got out of hand. We need to figure out how to fix this, fast."

Tails scratches his head, looking between Sonic and Shadow, who is watching the two of them like a hawk, his patience visibly thinning at their private conversation. "I might have a way to analyze the potion's effects... but it'll take some time. I need to figure out the composition and how it's influencing Shadow's behavior."

Sonic nodded. "Take all the time you need. I'll just... keep him busy."

Shadow overheard. "What are you two whispering about?" He said, sharply.

Sonic flinches, spinning around with a fake  smile. "Nothing! Just, uh, talking about how great it is to have you around, buddy! Yeah, it's so great, especially when you stare at us with your dark foreshadowing eyes! "

Shadow narrows his eyes, unconvinced but unwilling to press the issue further. Sonic nervously glances at Tails, who's already running around the lab, gathering equipment.

Sonic whispered umder his breath) "Please hurry, Tails."

As Tails begins working on a potential antidote, Sonic knows he's in for another long, uncomfortable day with Shadow hovering just a little too close for comfort.
