Sonic, Shadow, and the gang are walking through the village, trying to enjoy a somewhat normal day despite the looming tension. Sonic, still feeling the weight of Shadow's obsessive protection, is talking to Tails when suddenly, the familiar roar of Eggman's Egg Mobile breaks the peace. Eggman swoops down from the sky, his mechs at the ready.
Eggman chortled and cackled and chuckled and snorted. "Ha! Sonic! I hope you're ready for your weekly beatdown because this time, I've upgraded my—"
Before Eggman can even finish his villainous speech, Shadow leaps into action, moving faster than anyone can react. He barrels straight into one of Eggman's mechs, obliterating it with a single, brutal strike. Pieces of the mech fly everywhere as Shadow turns his attention to Eggman himself.
"Whoa! Shadow, chill! We've got this—" Sonic yelled.
But Shadow doesn't listen. His red eyes are locked onto Eggman with terrifying intensity, and before Sonic can even blink, Shadow launches himself at the Egg Mobile. He grabs Eggman by the collar, yanking him out of the cockpit with such force that Eggman lets out a terrified yelp.
"Wait! Wait! What are you doing?!" Eggman flailed like a little girl.
Shadow slams Eggman to the ground, his fist raised threateningly above him. He growled, his tone low and dangerous. "You tried to hurt Sonic."
Eggman was panic-stricken. "I was just... doing my villain thing! You know, the usual—"
Shadow's fist comes down hard, smashing the ground next to Eggman's head. Eggman's eyes widen with fear as Shadow prepares to strike again, this time aiming to end the confrontation permanently. The other mechs are destroyed within seconds by Shadow's ferocious attacks.
uSonic went rushing forward, panicking. "Shadow! Stop! You're gonna—"
Shadow doesn't stop. His fists tighten as he pins Eggman down, ignoring Sonic's voice.
, Eggman was shivering in his timbers, trying to scramble away "Okay, okay! I surrender! I'll stop—I'll stop!"
Shadow raises his hand for another crushing blow, but Sonic races in, grabbing Shadow's arm mid-swing. He struggles to hold Shadow back, but his voice is confident..
"Shadow, Cmon t-tthat's enough! You've got him!"
For a moment, Shadow doesn't move, still glaring down at Eggman, his hand trembling with barely controlled rage. Then, slowly, Shadow lowers his fist. He releases Eggman with a growl, pushing him away like discarded trash.
"You're lucky Sonic asked me to spare you." He said coldly.
Eggman, visibly shaken and utterly terrified, scrambles back to his Egg Mobile, barely managing to get inside before lifting off. His voice shakes as he speaks, still clearly traumatized.
Eggman waved nervously. "Uh... I'll just... leave now. Don't need a rematch. Definitely no rematch!"
As Eggman flies away, Sonic lets out a heavy sigh of relief, shaking his head at Shadow, frustrated. "Dude, I get that you're trying to protect me, but you don't have to pulverize him! It's Eggman! We beat him every week—no need to go full-on apocalypse!"
Shadow crosses his arms, still glaring after Eggman's retreating form. "He threatened you. That's enough reason to eliminate him."
Sonic sighs again, clearly at a loss as the rest of the gang approaches, watching in stunned silence after witnessing Shadow's intensity. They all seem on edge around Shadow.
"Yeah, uh... I think you might need to put a leash on him, dude." Said Knuckles.
"Good idea." Said Sonic, pulling out a leash.
"I'm not wearing that."
"Oh well, it was a good idea." Sonic said, tossing it. He'd just have to find some other way to control Shadow's weird ten deices.
