Boom Sonadow

Part 1

Dr. Eggman's Lab – dimly lit, cluttered with mechanical parts and the faint hum of machinery. In the center, Eggman stands with a crooked grin, holding up a vial of bright green liquid.

 Eggman chuckled evily."Ah, the ultimate plan! Once Shadow drinks this potion, he'll be my most loyal follower. No more interference from him. He'll be the perfect weapon against Sonic and his annoying friends. Now, all I need to do is wait for him to show up—"

Suddenly, the doors of the lab burst open. In walks Shadow, his usual brooding demeanor intact.

"What do you want this time, Eggman?" Shadow said gruffly.

Eggman pretended like he was not doing something evil.  "Oh, Shadow! Good timing! I've created something special just for you. A little... enhancement to help you reach your true potential."

Shadow narrowed his eyes, already suspicious. Eggman held out the potion. "One sip, and you'll be unstoppable. You want that, don't you?"

Without hesitation, Shadow knocks the vial out of Eggman's hand, smashing it on the floor. The green liquid splashes everywhere, evaporating into a mist that surrounds them.

Eggman yelps. "No! Not like this!" 

Shadow inhales the fumes, blinking as his vision blurs for a moment. Eggman steps back, waiting for the effects to kick in. A slow grin spreads across his face as Shadow wobbles, looking disoriented. Just as Eggman starts to celebrate and do a victory dance, the doors crash open again, this time with Sonic racing in.

 "Hey, Egghead! What're you—?"

Shadow's eyes lock onto Sonic. For a second, they flicker with confusion, then something strange happens. His usual intense glare softens.

 Shadow's tone is almost reverent. "Sonic."

Sonic skids to a stop, raising an eyebrow. "Uh... you okay, Shadow?"

Shadow steps forward, his posture unusually relaxed, but there's an intensity in his eyes that makes Sonic uncomfortable. "You're... amazing." Shadow said..

Sonic blinks in confusion, looking between Shadow and Eggman.  "Wait, what?"

 Eggman sputtered. "No! No, no, no! This isn't right! He was supposed to obey me, not... not you!"

Sonic crossed his arms, smirking at Eggman. "Guess your plan backfired, huh?"

"This isn't fair! Shadow, you're supposed to despise him! Not—whatever this is!"

Shadow completely ignores Eggman, his full attention still on Sonic.

"You're fast, clever, always one step ahead. I should've realized it sooner." Shadow said, admiring him.

Sonic, thoroughly freaked out now, took a cautious step back. "Okay, hold up. You're acting weird, even for you."

 "I won't let anything happen to you, Sonic. I'll protect you from now on. No one will ever defeat you."

Sonic's eyes widen as Shadow steps closer, his voice full of genuine admiration. Eggman, meanwhile, is flailing his arms in frustration.

Eggman started yelling. "This was supposed to make you respect me! I'm the evil genius here! Sonic's not even—ugh, this is a nightmare!"

"Yeah, well, I'd call it more of a twist." Sonic tries to laugh it off, but Shadow is now standing uncomfortably close, his usually stoic expression softened into one of admiration.

 "You're the hero I should've been following all along. It's clear to me now." Shadow said, his tone dead serious.

Sonic scratches the back of his head, nervously glancing around the room.

"Uh, right. I appreciate the... uh... support, but you might be taking this a bit too far."

Eggman started throwing his hands up. "Too far?! You have no idea how far I was going to go with this plan! And now look! My ultimate weapon is your number one fan!"

Eggman groans and slumps into a nearby chair, defeated. Sonic, meanwhile, gives Shadow a nervous grin. "So, about that whole protecting me thing... how about we dial it back a notch?

"No. You deserve to be protected. I'll make sure of it."

Sonic sighs, realizing this isn't going to be an easy situation to fix. "Great. I just upgraded from rival to... bodyguarded rival. Wonderful."

Eggman continued mumbling. "If I could just—ugh, never mind. I'm going to my other lab. Maybe I can salvage something from this disaster."

As Eggman storms out, Sonic watches him go, then looks back at Shadow, who hasn't moved an inch, still watching Sonic with an almost unnerving level of respect. "Well, this is going to be... interesting." He muttered under his breath.

Shadow gives a sharp nod of agreement.  "Anything for you, Sonic."

they exit the lab together, Shadow following closely behind.
