"Take your hands off her." I heard Seb talk calmly to Justine, holding my hands and taking Justin's hand off me. His voice was clear, it's not just a statement but a command.
"Hey! It's none of your business. Who are you?" Justine asked, his tone was a tone of anger.
"It's none of your business." I laughed at the way he mocked him. He's still holding my hand. Justine, who looked pissed off, walked away when her partner came.
I looked at Seb who's childishly wiping my arm which Justine holds. He looked serious and calm at all despite the tension minutes ago.
Confusion was all over my body. My brows furrowed and I am pouting like a kid who seemed to have 100 questions to ask. "Smile. You look great to pull a face. Mind your facial expression." He reminded me.
He was looking directly in my eyes. "Why are you here?" I eventually asked.
"Give me a smile." He repeated so I smiled at him awkwardly, making him laugh.
"What brings you here?" I asked again. He let go of my hand but he didn't answer my question.
"Something is missing." He said.
Before I asked him 'what' he already stepped to my back, "stay still" he said, then I felt the necklace he's putting on my neck.
When I held it and looked at it... it's a silver necklace that has a shooting star design.
"I planned on giving it to you at your graduation but I think tonight is the perfect time." He explained with a smile on his face while looking at me.
"Why are you suddenly giving me a gift?" I asked shyly.
"Don't overthink it. I just want to give you something."
"Oh, thank you! You're the best!" I smile, admiring the necklace on my neck.
The place suddenly gets dark. They turned the lights off then after a few minutes it was changed into different colors and the music Can I have this dance of Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron plays.
He knelt a little and offered his hand, "So... Miss Asteria Vega Suarez... Can I have this dance?" I smiled and bowed to him, giving my hand. We dance happily, smiling like crazy, looking at each other.
"What's the magic? Senior's night made you taller, huh." He teased me with my height again. I am already wearing heels but he is still a little taller than me.
"You really don't waste time teasing me." I said that made him laugh a little. Tonight, I noticed that he's been smiling more.
"You look gorgeous tonight. I mean it."
"What's wrong with your eyes? I looked gorgeous everyday." I said before turning, surprisingly- he knows the step.
"How do you know the steps?" I asked, so curious about it.
He took a moment before answering me "My mom and I used to dance this."
"I reminded you of her again." I sounded worried.
"She's one of the stars- watching us so you should dance well. Don't stumble." He said that annoyed me a little.
"Shit. I'm careless... but you're here. You'll catch me."
"What if I don't?"
"No. If you don't catch me that should only mean..." I paused a little, "you also fell with me." I mumbled, unable to look at his reaction.
"What are you thinking?" He asked, probably feeling that my brain was up to somewhere.
"We're friends but I didn't know you better. I didn't know you could dance well."
