Today is such a busy day. We have been preparing the gymnasium for the exposition since this morning. We don't have classes because of this.
I am casually chatting about random stuff with my friends in the cafeteria.
"Have you heard about Logotherapy?" I asked, excited to share the new thing I learned from the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
"What about it?" Ricca asked as a supportive loyal listener of my never ending sharing habit.
"Logotherapy is a therapeutic approach that helps people find personal meaning in life." I explained as if I am so smart but I actually memorised it.
"It exists because there's this idea that we are all living with a purpose and meaning. People will be more motivated to be alive when they know that they are purposeful and meaningful." I added another information to support what I just said.
"I think... my purpose is to be... pretty." Ricca proudly said. I thought it's something world changing.
She looked at her boyfriend. "What could be my purpose? Of course it is to be amazed and in love with a beautiful creature like you." Kyle said.
"So there's someone else like me?"
"Eh, don't start a fight." I reminded them. These two really slapped us with the word 'Single'.
"I got a partner." Kerby said right after sitting beside me, the three of us stopped eating and gave her a serious and deadly look.
"I said I got a partner, not a husband." She repeated herself, the three of us ignored her and continued eating.
"Hey, Kerby." A man suddenly appeared, grabbing Kerby's hand. The three of us stopped eating again and gave our shocked look.
ew. gross. unacceptable. unpleasant. unlovely. Should I continue?
Did she really go out with Arvin? Blame me.
We're too shocked as if we encountered a horrifying version of Casper the ghost.
"Please act accordingly. Mind your manners." She commanded, pointing out how our expressions were painted on our faces.
Arvin was fine but he's far from her standard. This girl changed, huh. Well at least this guy now had no background about cheating.
"Please stay away from me. I can never understand people with a 'in relationship status'. Don't stain my innocent mind." I quoted and pleaded, shaking my head.
They all laughed at me "Get yours now." Ricca teased me then encircled her arms to Kyle who's really enjoying it. What was that? Promotion? We're teenagers!
I slightly covered my eyes "Uhh.. No. Thanks." I said disgustingly. I grabbed my bag, "I'll leave you guys. Oh! and you... Arvin, right? Don't let her be calling me on weekends saying that she's not being treated right. I won't spare your life."
"Where are you going? Date with the cafe guy?"
They have been teasing me that I like Sebastien since the moment they found out that we go to work and go home together. As if we're living in the same house.
"You should find a partner now." Ricca reminded me.
The school committee hasn't posted the memo yet so no hurry. My besties already got partners- I haven't found one ('cause I ain't looking for one). We'll do the exposition first before getting ready for that special night.
I can go without a partner. Well I don't plan to attend with a partner after all. My biggest flex was... I haven't dated any guy or gotten involved in any romantic relationship since I started studying here.
