It had been two days since Jennie last came to the office, and Lisa was deeply worried. She hoped Jennie was okay, but she couldn't shake the nagging thought that Jennie's absence might have something to do with the confession she made. Lisa had to find out the truth, even though she was nervous.

So, Lisa stood up from her desk and walked over to Seulgi's office. She needed to know why Jennie hadn't shown up for two days. As she reached Seulgi's door, her nerves started to kick in, but she knocked anyway. After a few seconds, she heard Seulgi's voice from inside, "Come in."

Lisa took a deep breath, unsure of how to ask, but she gathered her courage and stepped into the room. Seulgi was focused on her work, but she looked up and smiled as Lisa entered. "Good morning, Lisa."

"Good morning, Unnie," Lisa replied, her voice a little shaky. She was trying to figure out the best way to ask without sounding too worried.

Seulgi set the file she was working on aside and looked at Lisa with a gentle smile. "Is there something you need, Lisa?"

Lisa nervously shook her head at first but then quickly nodded, her hesitation making her look endearingly cute. Stammering, she said, "I-I don't know how to ask, but... actually, I wanted to know something."

Seulgi smiled reassuringly. "Lisa, no need to be nervous. Whatever it is, just ask. There's no reason to hesitate."

Lisa returned the smile, though still anxious, and asked, "Unnie, do you know why the boss hasn't been coming for the past two days? Is everything okay with her?"

Seulgi noticed the worry in Lisa’s eyes but gave a small, knowing smile. "Yeah, I do know, but it's a long story. How about we talk about it over lunch?"

"Okay," Lisa agreed, though she hesitated again before asking, "Is it something complicated? Is that why she's not coming?"

Seeing the uncertainty on Seulgi’s face, Lisa quickly added, "Anyway, I'll wait. You should finish your work, and I'll do mine. Let's talk during lunch."

Seulgi nodded. "Yeah, sure."

Seulgi's thoughts: I know Jennie and Lisa had some kind of conversation that day. That might be why Jennie left for Hawaii. But I don’t know all the details. She usually does this when she's upset. I hope it's nothing more serious.

Lisa gave a quick nod. "Okay, bye, Unnie."

Later, Lisa was sitting in her office—a space Jennie had given her, even though she was just an intern. The worry still lingered.

"Jennie hasn’t been to the company for two days, and I don’t know where she is or why she’s not coming. I asked Seulgi Unnie, but... I thought after her confession, I’d talk to her the next morning and clear things up. But Jennie hasn’t come back since then." Lisa’s thoughts were racing.

Just then, Seulgi entered her office, noticing the faraway look in Lisa's eyes. "Hey, Lisa, what are you thinking about?"

Snapping out of her thoughts, Lisa quickly replied, "Nothing, Unnie. Anyway, it's lunchtime."

Seulgi nodded. "Okay, let’s go."

Lisa and Seulgi walked to the office cafeteria, where plenty of employees were already having lunch. After grabbing their food, they sat down at a quiet table.

Seulgi's thoughts: I really want to know what Jennie said to Lisa that day in the office. Ever since Jennie married that snake Tzuyu, her life has been nothing but problems. I just hope Jennie finds some happiness in her life.

Lisa noticed Seulgi deep in thought and asked, "Hey, Unnie, what’s on your mind?"

Seulgi sighed, then asked, "Can I ask you something personal?"

Lisa raised an eyebrow, curious. "Personal?"

Seulgi nodded. "Yeah, personal."

"Go ahead, Unnie," Lisa said, nodding. "What do you want to ask?"

Seulgi hesitated for a moment before asking, "Lisa, what did Jennie say to you that day when she called you to her office?"

Lisa nervously swallowed. She couldn’t tell the truth, so she lied. "She didn’t say much. We just talked about work."

Oh God, forgive me for lying, Lisa thought to herself.

Seulgi's thoughts: I know Lisa's lying, but I won’t press her. Not right now.

"Okay," Seulgi said aloud, still thinking deeply as she looked at Lisa.

Lisa felt uneasy under Seulgi's gaze and quickly changed the subject. "But Unnie, you still haven’t told me why Jennie—uh, the boss—hasn’t been coming to the office."

Seulgi sighed and asked, "Do you really want to know why Jennie isn’t coming?"

Lisa nodded.

"She went to Hawaii. She messaged me, saying it was urgent, but I know she was lying. There wasn’t anything urgent. She only goes to Hawaii when she’s upset, Lisa. Jennie’s not even in Korea right now. That’s why she hasn’t been coming to work. She does this when she’s sad. I’ve known her long enough to recognize this pattern."

Lisa felt terrible. She was convinced that Jennie’s sadness was her fault, that the confession had hurt her. But then, she asked, "You said she only does this when she’s upset. So, has she done this before?"

Seulgi nodded, swallowing a bite of her food before answering. "Yeah, plenty of times. But let’s not dwell on that right now. Just eat your lunch."

Lisa nodded and quietly ate her food. After a moment, she asked, "But then, why did you say earlier that it’s a long story?"

Seulgi laughed, shaking her head. "Because I wanted an excuse to have lunch with you, silly."
