I’m at the airport right now, waiting for Jisoo unnie. She’s coming back from Hawaii for some important work in Seoul, and I couldn’t miss the chance to pick her up.

“Ugh, don’t call me baby. I’m not a baby anymore, Chipmunk,” Lisa replied, sounding annoyed.

Chipmunk? Who is this girl to Lisa?

The girl just laughed, brushing off Lisa’s irritation. “Alright, alright, baby monkey,” she teased, her tone playful. “Shall we go to your place now?”

Lisa nodded, and the two of them started walking away, leaving the airport together.

I stared at my phone, still connected, as if it was mocking me. Did Lisa even realize I was still on the line? Did she forget, or worse… did she not care?

Tears blurred my vision as I slowly ended the call. My heart felt like it had been shattered into a million pieces.

I clenched my fists, trying to hold back the sobs threatening to escape. “Stay strong, Jennie,” I whispered to myself.

But deep down, I couldn’t ignore the ache.

Jisoo unnie's voice broke through my thoughts, pulling me back to reality.
