Lisa stared at her phone, contemplating. "Boss, did you go to Hawaii because of me?" she typed, but almost instantly, she deleted the message.

"Ugh, Lisa, what are you even thinking? What will she think?" She mentally scolded herself, scrolling through her phone with frustration.

Her fingers hovered over the keys, indecisive. Should she message Jennie or wait? The weight of uncertainty pressed on her.

After a deep sigh, Lisa made up her mind. When Jennie returns, she’ll confront her face to face. No more hiding behind texts. Resolutely, she placed her phone on the nightstand and lay back, lost in her thoughts.

"Jendeuk, when you land in Korea, send me a message, or else I'll keep worrying," Jisoo said with concern.

Right now, she was at the airport, dropping Jennie off.

Jennie nodded and said, "Yeah, unnie, don’t worry. I’ll message you."

Just then, the final announcement for the flight from Hawaii to Korea was made.

Jisoo hugged Jennie tightly, not wanting to let go. "Take care of yourself, okay?" she whispered.

Jennie smiled softly and hugged her back. "I will, unnie. Don't worry."

Jennie waved goodbye to Jisoo as she headed off to complete the rest of the formalities. With one last smile, she disappeared into the crowd, leaving Jisoo standing there, watching her until she was out of sight.

As Jennie walked out of sight, Jisoo whispered to herself, “I hope you find your happiness. You deserve it.”

With a deep breath, she turned and made her way back, her heart aching for her friend but knowing that Jennie's journey was just beginning.

Lisa sat at the dinner table with her family, but her mind was elsewhere. The laughter and chatter around her felt distant, muffled by the weight in her heart. P'Yaya, noticing Lisa's lack of enthusiasm, leaned in closer and whispered, "Lili, why do you look so sad?"

Lisa forced a smile, glancing at her cousin. "I’m fine, just... thinking."

P'Yaya raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. "Thinking about Jennie, right?"

Lisa remained silent, her gaze dropping back to her plate, the food untouched. The truth hung heavily in the air, but she couldn't voice it.

P'Yaya sighed softly, concern etched on her face. "Don’t worry; everything will be okay. Has Jennie come back yet?"

Lisa simply shook her head, her expression unreadable. She felt like a tightrope walker, balancing between hope and despair.

Just then, Lisa's dad chimed in, "What are you two cousins whispering about?"

Lisa quickly looked up, forcing a smile. "Nothing, just girl talk." The words tasted bitter on her tongue.

Her dad chuckled, turning back to his meal, unaware of the storm brewing inside his daughter.

Lisa's eyes fluttered open, and she let out a long yawn, stretching her arms above her head. As she squinted at the clock, panic set in. She was late! Memories of last night rushed back—taking P'Yaya and her parents to the airport, then returning home and tossing and turning, unable to sleep while thoughts of Jennie swirled in her mind.
