She was running for her life right now. And the voice of running behind her was coming closer as well. She came out of the basement and ran towards her room, just before reaching the door knob of her room's door, she sprained her ankle. She fell down. The voice was coming closer and closer. She tried to get up but wasn't able to. So she dragged herself to her room. She somehow managed to closed the door but wasn't able to lock the door. She was 1 Meter away from her bed and there "BOOM! ".
" Are you... Why are you lying on the floor? " Kevin said
"Kevin?.... Umm... I was sleeping and fell from bed and hurt my ankle." Cindy said
"Ohh.. Ohk now C'mon get up. " Kevin said.
She was trying to get up but wasn't able to. Kevin came near her and helped her get on the bed. He made Cindy sit on the bed and put his legs on the bed as well. He got first aid kit, took out a relieving spray and sprayed on her legs and put a bandage on her ankle. Cindy was looking at his face and thinking "how can somebody kill and care at the same time? "
"You must be thinking how can somebody kill and care at the sametime right? " Kevin said
"Yeah.... I mean no... " Cindy said.
"Hahhahaa... It's not like killing is our job or something that we love.. But if someone tries to hurt our loved ones we can't tolerate that... And yes killing someone can never be justified but we are killing them only when they attack on us and this act is taken as self defense." Kevin said
The words of Kevin made Cindy realised that it was true if someone tries to kill her mother she'll do everything to save her even if she have to kill the person.
" And now tell me what were you doing in the basement? Were you trying to run away? " Kevin said raising his one eyebrow
"Ummm... Yes.... No.... I mean.... Ahhhhhhhhhh.... Yes i was trying to run away.. I'm missing my mom i want to see whether she is okay or not. I know you guys are good to me but why? I dont know. That Carl kidnapped me shot my mother and expect me to be in this house where his enemy come and try to kill me. He got hurt and now he is hospitalized. What is actually happening in my life. Since you guys have entered in my life everything is a mess. " Cindy started crying after letting her heart out.
Kevin wasn't shocked at all, it seems like he was expecting this, he was watching crying Cindy calmly as if he wants her to cry and let it all out. She cried for a good 10 minutes.
"Are you feeling better now? Look here, you think we kidnapped you but its not really true. I can't explain it right now. You will understand when the right time will come. Just know that your mother is not really a good person. " Kevin said
"What!? Are you even listening what you are saying? You are talking about my mother. " Cindy said (angry tone)
" I know what you are feeling right now. I don't know how will you feel when you'll find the truth. But right now get some sleep. Take care of your ankle. See you tomorrow." Kevin said and left the room
Cindy was in more confusion. She was tired as well and there she fall asleep.
Next morning, she woke up, her leg was still hurting but not that much. She was able to walk. She had her breakfast. She was trying to walk so that her legs get better and yes it was getting better. She was thinking about what Kevin said yesterday. While she was thinking and walking she didn't realise where she was. She came near that door where she felt uneasy. She thought of returning back but a sense of curiosity and a will to overcome the fear made her come near the door. She opened the door. She went inside. It was dark. She tried to find a switch. She found it and switched it on. She was amazed by the look of the room. It was very beautiful. She saw a frame on the wall but it was not clean, the spider webs were covering the whole frame. She can barely see what's inside the frame and why was it in this room with a sign "don't ever try to get inside". She looked here and there and saw so many boxes present.She was trying to open the box.
"Tap.. Tap... Tap... Tap" Someone is coming. She can hear that clearly.
"Oh my god someone is coming. I'm dead for sure." Cindy said. She switched off the light. And hide somewhere in the room. The voice of footsteps coming closer and closer.
"Cindy! I know you are here. Come out right now! "
Who was it? And how does he know Cindy was there? What will happen to Cindy now?
