The first cupboard then the second and then he was about to open the third one but
“Sir please come upstairs.” Someone said from upstairs
“what? What happened?” the person infront of them said
That person didn’t open the third cupboard. They were safe. They didn’t got caught.
“ I think he is gone…” Chase whispered
“ Yeah I think so too” Cindy whispered
“Should we go out Cindy” Chase whispered
“Let’s first open it a little in order to confirm he has gone.” Cindy whispered
Chase nodded and they opened the cupboard a little. Thankfully no one was there. They come out of the cupboard and decided to leave. They slowly came upstairs. Cindy was coming upstairs first. So when she reached the basement's door she peek out and heard some noise coming from upstairs. She quickly came out and gave sign to Chase to come out quickly as well.
“they are upstairs let’s go quickly “ Cindy whispered.
Chase nodded and they both jumped out of the window. They start the car and drove off and thankfully their car was a little away from the house.
They reached home in the evening. They were so tired. So they went to their room and took a nap.
At the dinner time-
Everyone was sitting on the dining table for dinner.
“Cindy Chase both of you come to my room after dinner” Carl said
“ Okay brother” Cindy and Chase said
“what happened Carl? Is there any issue?” their mom asked
“No mom just want to ask something from them that’s it” Carl said
“Oh okay.” Their mom said
After dinner Cindy and Chase went to Carl’s room.
“knock knock”
“Come in” Carl said
“yes brother?” Chase and Cindy said
“where were you both?” Carl asked
“ we told you yesterday that we’ll visit that place…” Chase was interrupted by Carl
“ BUT YOU WEREN’T THERE” Carl said angrily
“We were there…” Cindy said
“But when I went there you weren’t there” Carl said
“You went there? When? We didn’t find you as well” Chase said
“ I saw there was a basement, I went there and then I opened the cupboards…” Carl was interrupted by Cindy “ so was it you who was opening the cupboards one by one but you didn’t open the third one?”
“ummm yeah I didn’t open the third one because Sam called me upstairs stating that no one is there.” Carl said
“oh my god brother! We thought there was someone else we got scared and hide in the third cupboard…thank god it was you” Cindy said
“we were really so scared bro” Chase said while hugging Carl.
“oh I thought you guys were lying and went somewhere else and you know I don’t like someone lying to me.” Carl said
“well what did you find there then?” Carl asked
“ brother I found a book in which something is written but it’s not in a language that we can understand and I found some pictures…there was pictures of me , you, Chase, Kevin bro, mom and dad and even Mr and Mrs. Wills. I don’t understand why they were there. Our picture do make sense why they were present there but Mr and Mrs. Will’s pictures….” Cindy said
“Oh… okay don’t think too much and get some rest.” Carl said
“ Brother I want to meet that girl too .. can you please call her dad and ask whether I can visit their place or not…please….” Cindy said with pleading eyes
“ Oh but why do you want to meet her?” Carl asked
“ It’s because you know she was treated with the shocks as well. I want to make sure whether she had came out of the trauma or not. I want to be her friend. Please brother can you do that for me?” Cindy said
“Okay fine, you are just getting all you wishes done by showing those eyes.” Carl said
Cindy and Chase left smilingly.
Next day
Cindy woke up and went straight to Carl’s room. She knocked and opened the door.
“ Brother did you talk to them?” Cindy asked
“huh…Cindy? Did you even take a look at the clock? Its 6am ….go and sleep…I’ll talk to them later…C’mon go now…” Carl said in sleepy voice
“okkkkaaayyy” Cindy said and got back to her room.
She lay down on her bed and fall sleep .
She woke up around 11:30 am. She sat on the bed and saw the time. She got up and ran towards Carl’s room. She opened the door but didn’t find Carl. She came down shouting “ Carl bro…. Carl bro….”
She saw his brother standing near the garden door. She went near him.
“Yeah.. my sister want to meet Annie….can she come at your place…your daughter might feel better as well.” Carl said on the phone
As soon as Cindy heard Carl talking on the phone she stood there silently and waited for the conversation to end.
“Yeah…yeahh….okay..thank you” Carl said on the phone
As soon as he put his phone down..
“Brother what did they say? Tell me please” Cindy said
“they said you can come after lunch” Carl said
“ Really? Yayyyyyy…. I’m so happy thank you so much brother. I love you so much” Cindy said
At around 1pm
“Chase let’s go…” Cindy said
“ Where?” Chase asked
“Annie’s house” Cindy said
“Who is Annie?” Chase asked
“oh! That girl I was talking about. Let’s go” Cindy said
“Oh okay.” Chase said
They both got into the car and drove off after Cindy and Chase took all the guidance from Carl.
They reached Annie’s house after almost 30 minutes.
On the door:
“hello, I’m Cindy Johnson. My brother Carl Johnson talked to you about me. I’m here to meet Annie.”
“oh yeah sure come in”
They went inside.
Annie was standing in front of them wearing the tshirt and a pant covering her whole body.
Cindy came near Annie and hugged her. She felt something strange inside her heart. She felt like something is wrong. She thought it maybe because she knows how it felt calling someone else mom giving her all love but in return you get hurt, everything was a lie. Tears starts dropping from her eyes while she was hugging Annie.
“what happened sisi?” Annie said in her childish tone
Cindy break the hug and looked at Annie.
“sisi?....nothing Annie…hello…how are you?.. I’m Cindy”
“hello sisi im fine I know who you are. You are a superhero. My dad……..ahmmm…he told me that you saved me from that lady. Thank you so much.” Annie said
Cindy looked at his dad. She again felt something strange inside her. She wasn’t able to understand what is it.
“Cindy now you’ve met her. Should we leave?” Chase said
“Yeah….i mean see Annie is fine. She don’t remember anything about those shocks anymore.” Annie’s dad said
“Well, sir can I come to meet Annie afterwards too? I would like to play with her. And I think she will like it too. Hope you’ll not say no because you love your daughter so much.” Cindy said
“Ummm….oh……..ahhhh……..okay you can come but do inform me whenever you are coming.” Annie’s dad said
“Sisi…” Annie said
“ yes Annie..?” Cindy said with a beautiful smile on her face.
“ Do you love me?” Annie asked
“ yes Annie I love you so much. I want to be your first bestfriend. I want to play with you.” Cindy said
“Really? You are not lying right….?” Annie said with a tear dropping from her eyes.
“Yes…my Annie…why are you crying…?” Cindy said
“because they don’t …..” Annie was interrupted by his dad
“because she don’t have any sister.” Annie’s dad said coming near her
“ Annie I think you should go and get your work done.” Annie’s dad said
“ahhhhh!...ohkay” Annie said
Cindy was feeling more strange. Cindy saw everything which was happening in front of her. Cindy saw Annie’s leaving figure, she saw Annie’s sad face when she turned around.
Why Cindy was feeling that way? Is something really wrong? What’s actually happening in that house.? Will Cindy be able to find out?
