CHAPTER-12. THE CASTLE MYSTERY

"Oh my god they are coming inside" Cindy said.
Footsteps coming closer and closer.
"Hurry up, get inside this cupboard " Carl said.
They both got into the same cupboard Kevin was looking into.
"I liked the party so much" someone said.
"What should we do?" Cindy whispered while taking a step back
And there was a door in the cupboard. Cindy was about to fall. Carl hold her hand.
"Careful! Are you okay?" Carl said lightly.
They both were shocked after seeing a secret way from the cupboard. They get into that way. They were going downstairs. It was dark. Cindy turned on her flashlight.
"I think Kevin must be here." Carl said
"I think so too. But i was wondering why did they hide a door in the cupboard? Are they really hiding something.  Thank god i listened to Kevin bro." Cindy said
While they were walking. They saw a human  figure in front of them.
"Kevin bro?" Cindy said
The figure turned around.
"Oh Cindy. I just reached here a few seconds ago. I lost my phone. It was so dark. I got scared" Kevin said
"Finally we found you." Carl said while hugging Kevin.
Cindy looked around. It was quite dark but thank god she had her phone with herself. The room had a lot of spider web. While she was looking around , she saw a canvas board on the canvas stand. She came near it. She cleaned it with her hands and found out that the painting was made by a kid. She took a picture of it. And moved around. Carl and Kevin also tried to help her, so they move into different directions to find out something to solve the mystery. Carl came near a cupboard and opened it. He saw an album in it.
"Cindy... Kevin..come here.. look what I've found." Carl said
Cindy and kevin ran towards him.
"What?...what is it?" Cindy said
"Can't you see..it's an album..you dumbo" Kevin said
Cindy made a disgusted expression after Kevin’s statement.
"Okay..okay..stop it.. see..there's something written on it...MY...PR..ECIOUS...FA..MILY...ohh so it's a photo album of a family..maybe it's of Annie's family..let’s look into it." Carl said
He opened it and they were all shocked as there was not a single picture of anyone.
"What?...how? I mean how is it possible that there is not a single photo of that so called PRECIOUS FAMILY." Cindy said
"C'mon now don’t tell me...all our efforts goes to waste." Kevin said
"No it can't be." Tensed up Cindy said
"Okay guys calm down let's look around a little more and then we will leave.okay?" Carl said
"Okay!" they both said
They again got into different directions.
Kevin was looking around and at the same time he was feeling so tired. So, he sat on the ground near a desk. When he leans against the desk, his hand got on something, it felt something like a chain. So he grabbed it towards him.
"Listen! I found something." Kevin said.
Carl and Cindy came to him.
"What?" Carl asked
"See it's like a pendant or something. " Kevin said
"Show me.." said Cindy
He gave it to Cindy.  As it was a little dark she wasn't able to look more closely.
"Let's just keept it for now. We'll look into it at home." Carl said
"Okay." Cindy nodded and put it in her bag.
"Okay..now that means we are going back!" Kevin said excitedly
"Yes.." Cindy said.
"But from where?" Kevin asked
"Umm..i think we are going back from where we have came." Carl said
"You mean from that cupboard..but how the owners of this house are already here. " Kevin said
"I think Carl bro is right but Kevin bro is not wrong either." Cindy said
"Well let’s just go upstairs. Maybe they are not in their room and we can leave." Cindy said
They both nodded at Cindy’s statement. They all were going upstairs slowly, not making any kind of noise.
Carl was near the cupboard door. Cindy and Kevin were behind him.
It was a pin drop silence. There was not a single noise.
Carl moved towards Cindy and whispered, " I think they are sleeping we have to leave without making any noise."
Kevin and Cindy nodded.
Carl opened the cupboard's door slowly. He peeked out of the cupboard and found no one there. He came out of cupboard and signalled Cindy and Kevin to quickly come out of the cupboard.
Carl came near the room door and opened it. He peeked out of the room and thankfully no one was there. They all came out of the room one by one.
"Do you guys remember the way from where we enter?" Carl asked
"What? You don't remember.  We thought that you know from where we've came because the way you said we'll go back from where we've came." Kevin said.
They were walking clueless, as it was not a small home but was more like a castle.
"I just hope nobody finds us." Cindy said looking here and there.
"Look who's saying...the one who has put us in this trouble. " Kevin said
"Okay, not again. Stop both of you. We need to find a way out." Carl said.
They were walking and walking.
"Yaa!!! It's been half an hour. I'm feeling hungry now." Kevin said.
"It is really a big castle. I want to cry now." Cindy said
"I think it's a kitchen. Let's see if we find something to eat. I'm hungry too." Carl said
They got into the kitchen. Cindy ran towards the fridge and opened it. Kevin behind her.
"Ah..........hmmmm...hmmmm" Cindy was about to shout but a hand from behind closed her mouth.
"Shut up...don't  shout." Kevin said
"What! Cindy come here. Get behind me quickly." Carl said.
Cindy got behind him. Cindy was shaking. She wasn't able to believe what she just saw with her own eyes. Kevin came near her and hugged her tightly so that she can calm down. Carl took some pictures of the fridge and closed it. When he closed the fridge, a note fell down. He grabbed the note from the ground.
"I KNOW YOU ARE HERE! YOU WILL BE DEAD SOON. AND SOON ANNIE WILL BE DEAD TOO."
Now someone was coming towards the kitchen. The footsteps were echoing in the whole kitchen.
"Now what should we do Carl brother. Cindy is shaking..and there's this note..and the someone is coming..what should we do now...." Kevin said.

What will Carl do now? What's there in the fridge? Who is coming towards them? Who wants to kill them as well as Annie? Will they be able to come out?
