EVAN POV:
"Marionette?" I asked as I watched the tall female Animatronic seemingly suffer from some sort of malfunction. Her eyes were flickering in sporadic flashed and her hands were twitching. "Are you alright?"
"H-huh?" She said as she blinked rapidly. Before looking at me with an odd glint in her eyes. "O-oh yeah, I'm fine... I should go. Bye."
"Bye..." I said slowly with a furrowed brow as I watched her quickly leave through the nearby Staff doors. "That was... weird."
Deciding that whatever made her act up was none of my business. I made my way over towards the reception desk she had mentioned to me earlier.
It was being monitored by a woman who looked to be in her late 20s. She had pale skin covered in freckles. Bright Ginger hair that was cut to shoulder length. And dark blue eyes.
"Um, hi." I greeted awkwardly as the woman gave me a side eye while looking at her computer.
"The Adult lounge is closed on weekends." She replied in a bored tone without looking away from the screen.
"I'm here for an interview for the Technician job actually." I said as I pulled out my Licence as identification. "I was told to meet Willow Miller here."
"Hmm..." She hummed as she typed something into her computer while checking my Licence. After a minute she handed me it back before pointing over to the doors next to the desk. "Just wait by the entrance. Willow will be out soon."
"Alright, thank you." I thanked with a nod as I moved to wait by the doors.
As I waited another man showed up. He looked to be in his early 30s and was built like a tank, with an almost Herculean body. His tan skin added to the look, which was accented by his well kept black hair and light stubble on his face.. And his eyes were a bright electric shade of blue.
"Sup Beautiful." He greeted the lady at the desk. I could hear the tones of a Spanish accent in his voice. "I was told to come here for a Job Interview."
"Wait over there with the kid." The lady replied pointing over to me. Clearly already uncomfortable by the man's presence. Not bothering to even do a check like she did me. Can't blame her to be honest, the guy seemed to be a bit much. "Willow will be out for you both soon."
I didn't miss how the man's smile dropped briefly when I was mentioned. And when he looked at me I was able to pick up on the look of annoyance in his eye.
"Hello there." He greeted, his happy voice sounding genuine. But feeling false. "I wasn't aware I was going to have a Co-worker."
Ah, that's why he sounds annoyed.
"The names Lucas Jimenez." He said as he held out his hand. I took notice how the Muscles in his arm looked to be tensed. Was he trying to intimidate me?
"Evan Schmidt." I replied kindly as I stood up and shook his hand.
The moment I grasped the man's hand he applied a grip. Said action answered my question. He was clearly trying to intimidate me to some capacity. Well 2 can play at that game.
I heard a satisfying pop when I returned the favour.
"Quite the grip there." He said with no hidden strain in his voice as he let go and cradled His sore hand. "You work out?"
"Nah." I said as I slid my hands into my pockets, making sure not to damage the envelope I was holding. "I just have very physical hobbies."
"Well it's nice to meet ya kid." He said, quite clearly lying. "Let's hope our interview goes well."
