FNIA: The Missing Pieces

10: Tasks Ahead

MARIONETTE POV:

"For the last time Chica, we're not doing Karaoke."

I let out a snort of amusement from where I was sitting at one of the dressers as I watched Freya and Chica bicker on the couch they were sharing. The Pizzaplex was starting to close for the day, so a few of us girls whose work areas had closed had decided to chill backstage for a bit.

Chica and Freya were both on the couch as previously mentioned. Chica was trying to find something all of us could do, Listing things like karaoke or twister. But Freya kept denying them, Mostly due to what the activities were.

Bonnie and Golden were currently over in the backstage showers. Bonnie just wanted to freshen up after a long day's work, and Golden needed to clean off after a drink got spilled on her by accident earlier today. Bonnie had tried to get me to join her, but I refused for obvious reasons.

Mangle was sitting with me on the stairs up to the stage. We both had books in our hands, and were focusing on them to a varying degree as watching Chica and Freya argue was rather entertaining.

Spring was sitting over at one of the dressers, redoing her hair as she had not long gotten out of the showers. She was already back here when I got down from the arcade, so I assume she's been back here the longest out of all us present.

Ballora was also here with us, sitting on the edge of the interior part of the stage with her sketchbook in hand. I wasn't entirely sure what she was drawing. But considering I noticed her continuously rolling one of the pearls of her necklace with her fingers, something she tends to do when she's lost in thought, I'd say it was something important to her.

"Well what else is there to do?" Chica asked with no hidden amount of sass in her tone as she crossed her arms. "Because I'm not seeing much else to do."

"There are multiple arcades in the building Chica. If you're seriously this bored then go to one of them." Freya replied with a sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose from Chica's antics. "Or you could go make something in the kitchen."

"Freya!" Chica half shrieked in obvious mock offence as she placed a hand on her chest in an exaggerated manner. "Telling me to go to the Kitchen!? That's incredibly sexist of you!"

"UUUUUHHHHHGGGGG!" Freya groaned loudly into her hands in reply.

Ballora, Mangle and I just watched the 2 bicker with amusement. Chica was quite clearly doing this just to rile Freya up, and if Freya was aware of that she didn't show it.

"How about." Ballora cut in before things could get out of hand. As she said this Bonnie exited the showers, only a towel covering her body. And I also spied Golden ducking behind the curtains for the changing booths across from the showers "As a change of conversation, has anyone got any mechanical issues to report. The new Technicians are both properly starting tonight, so we should figure out now who needs what done."

"You know the servers automatically create a list for that stuff." Chica commented as she slouched down into the couch cushions. "It'll be put on their Maintenance list when they start."

"The system isn't perfect though." I added as I marked the page I was on and closed my book. "Remember when Mangle was having issues with her ear last year? Server didn't register it, she was deaf in that ear for nearly a week."

"That wasn't a fun experience." Mangle said as she subconsciously reached up and rubbed the ear which had broken. "It was non-stop static from that ear the entire time."

"Tha- ...Okay yeah that's fair." Chica replied with a shrug after failing to find a retort. "Well I don't have any major issues, just one of the Sensors in my back is offline. So I got a numb spot between my shoulders."
