okay i know this is a HUGE time skip but... midterms are really important and nothing else happened in between sooooooo

btw for each person's midterms part i'll choose three exams to write about. the others details won't be written.

ORIENTATION

Midterms. I have no idea what's going to happen. I leaped there and I could FEEL my concentration wavering.

My nexus got removed about a month ago. I was one of the first of our group. Then Heda, Cendil, Evela, Pevara. It makes sense since Pevara and Evela are the younger ones.

"Everyone excited for midterms?" Dame Alina's projection asked.

i wanted to loudly shout "NO" and run off back home.

What if I get a bad score? What if I fail? What if I get less than 90?

Ugh. I hope I don't. Then I'll have to endure another lecture on how Prinzie is so much smarter than me and that she got 99 or 100 on everything.

PLEASE, go jump off a cliff Prinzie.

And why did Dame Alina sound so cheerful? Practically nobody in there was cheerful right now.

"Your thinking caps are in your lockers, and remember, anyone found without one for the rest of the day will be disqualified for cheating. Is that clear?"

i rolled my eyes as i nodded.

"Good. Have fun with midterms."

Have fun? Have fun?? HAVE FUN??

THINGS WERE WAY TOO TENSE FOR PEOPLE TO have fun!

Everyone groaned after Dame Alina disappeared off the screen. The crowd shuffled towards the exits as we left for exams.

I headed to my locker with Cendil, Pevara, Heda and Evela. Soraya still hadn't forgiven us. Pevara hadn't forgiven her either.

Guess she's officially cut off from our group now. But whatever. She seems much more happier with Dalettia and Trizanca.

We reached the Level Two atrium and we separated to go to our lockers.

I slipped on the white cloth metal thinking cap. Prinzie, being a know it all, had once told us that it was an "amalgam of metals, made to dull telepathic abilities" what telepathic abilities?? "and preserve the integrity of the exams."

I headed towards the alchemy room, struggling to keep the oversized thinking cap on my head. I had to stop several times to pick it up.

ALCHEMY

"Turn brass into copper. You have fifty five minutes. No cheating allowed," warned Sir Tenan.

I nodded somewhat obediently and got to work.

The exam was a blur, my hands automatically mixing ingredients and waiting for it to set.

Finally, I dipped the brass into the potion and soaked it for five minutes. Then I pulled it out, stirred the mixture, and soaked it again.
