"What the fuck" I laugh when i sit inside the car. Luke is sitting in the backseat too, his grin reaching his ears.
"It's her" he laughs, having clearly recognised Tilly from the time we saw her at the bus.
"Yeah" I reply,
"I knew it would happen" he nods his head violently "I felt it". And the scariest part is that he really did say it, he always does.
"So what is she like?" Luke asks. There is no way to describe her in just a few words. She is amazing, she radiates this energy that attracts me. She is funny and caring, and she smells like strawberries. She is beautiful, I like how her cheeks turn pink when she laughs or how her curls tickle her face while she tries to tame them. Doubtful they'll want to hear about that I try to thing of a more generic response.
"She is really nice and funny" I reply.
"What were you two doing this weekend anyway?" Theo clears his voice.
"I wasn't even going too sleep there in the first place, we went swimming and she made me dinner, but I got sick after so she let me stay there"
Luke wiggles his eyebrows, I can see him trough the mirror, but he thinks that I can't.
"That is it, how is your arm Luke?" I ask, once I see his cast and bandages.
"Don't change the subject, you sneaky fuck" he smirks " but better that before, thanks for asking"
Theo wheezes at that, eyeing Luke trough the mirror.
"What did she cook for you?" Theo suddenly speaks,
"Umm" I dig trough my memory "we had pancakes"
"Bro" Luke shots me a glare, surprised by what I said "you ate pancakes?" He asks.
"Yeah, why?"
"You must really like this girl, if she has you breaking your diet plan" Theo exclaims while Luke nods his head in agreement vigorously.
"I broke my diet plan before" I reply, trying to think of any day I did, but to be truthful I'm not sure I ever did. Diet was something I always stuck to, of course I had some cheat days here and there but always according to my plan. Shit, maybe they are right. Judging by they glares I can tell they don't really dig my response.
"Okay fine, I just couldn't say no" I admit turning around to face Luke,
"See was it that hard to admit? Honestly I knew you were whipped when you started stalking her on the bus" What? He is totally exaggerating,
"What?" Theo asks his eyes popping out of their sockets. Luke just made me sound like a total freak.
"It wasn't like that" I sigh "We met on the bus, and I wanted to see her more so I went to the same bus as her when I had training"
"Why didn't you just talk to her?" Theo asks, and really I ont even have the answer to that. She was always so sad, it was like she had a thick wall around her. The wall broke though, it collapsed when I caught her crying by her school. And it did once again when she called me that night. A cold breeze runs trough me when I replay the moment in my head.
"She was kind off unapproachable" at that we stop in front of our driveway, Theo parking the car. It's dark outside and I still feel a bit weird, still sick apparently.
Now sat down by the table Luke digs further.
"Does she have a sister?" She winks at me, while Theo rolls his eyes playfully.
"No, she has a brother if you're interested" I laugh.

"Hey do you need help?" I ask watching Luke struggling to put on his hoodie. His arm is still broken and it still hurts judging by his scrunched face and hissing while he moves it.
"Yes, thanks" he sighs handing me the hoodie. I help him put it over his head and cast.
"Is it still hurting"
"Yes, like hell, and I'm mad I'm missing all the training because of it" he sighs. If anything I know exactly how he feels, I felt like that too, like all of my efforts were gone and pointless.
"How did you get over it?" Luke brings me out of my thoughts.
"I didn't, I felt like my life stopped, I was so mad about missing the championship, and skipping out on trainings. But I just had to get over it, sadness and anger won't help you heal" I know this won't help him, it didn't help me when coach said it, but we can't change a thing. Luke however completely surprises me by his answer.
"I'm honestly starting to think I might have needed a break, but this injury prevents me from doing anything really. It's not just boxing I'm mad about, I can't even shower alone for fucks sake, and I'm always alone at home."
"I'm sorry" I suddenly start to feel really guilty, I neglected him while I was with Tilly.
"Bro, it's fine, I'm glad you got to spend some time with her I'm not mad about it" he replies laughing. "For a hot minute I thought you were gay"
"What?" I laugh smacking his back lightly.
"We all did" Theo adds and that does it. We all burst laughing.
"How is Kimmy?" I ask after we all calm down a bit. Image of his little niece appears in my head.
"He is doing well, apparently he started growing his teeth so he bites a lot, they are actually coming over tomorrow." He smiles. He and his sister are really close, it's amazing to look at. It's not like me and Theo aren't, we are but they are on the next level.
"Okay, well we will make sure to wake you up early enough so we get you home in time" Theo exclaims setting up an alarm for tomorrow morning. He is the one driving Luke home since I have training. I feel alright enough to go, besides my fever is gone.
