Authors note: Hello guys, I'm so sorry for the late update, school has me drowning in work :( I'm on a break now so I managed to write an update 💪 hope you all enjoy it 🩷🫶🏻 I also drew a tiny Tilly character to thak you for 200 reads :)Zed
"Hey I'm sorry, I have to cancel today, I got sick :(" rereading the message, I get this weird feeling.
"Don't worry, I hope you get better soon" I type, did she get it from me? Shit.
She doesn't seem to be active anymore as all of my texts go straight to delivered. She might be sleeping. There is nothing to do but wait, she will reply eventually.
"You comming or what?" I hear Luke groan behind me. He came to watch the training today, said he was dying of boredom. With his arm still not healed, he doesn't have anything to do really.
"What is it?" He asks, studying my worried face, there is no point in lying, he will probably figure it out on its own if I do, and honestly I need advice.
"It's Tilly"
"Oohh, trouble in paradise I see" he smirks,
"Bro, it's not that we aren't even together yet" I reply. And to be honest, I'm not even sure what we are.
"I'm sorry, spill it" he says sitting down besides me.
"She is sick apparently, but it feels like she might be lying, I have this weird hunch that something is wrong"
"I saw her this morning" he sighs, "she was talking to some guys" my mind immediately pictures the worst, are they bullying her again?
"What guys?"
"Stop being possessive, it might have been her friends" I roll my eyes, it's not that I'm possesive, even though a thought that someone might replace me leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm worried that it's the guys from before,
"What were they doing?"
"Talking?" Luke squints his eyes, confused "stop overthinking it"
"Okay" I reply dryly, maybe he is right, it might have just been her friends, and I'm worried for nothing.
He sighs "did she text you back?" He asks feeling bad for me,
"No"
"Look, I would wait a bit, maybe she really is sick and just can't reply right now, if she doesn't you can drive there and check on her" he is right, I shouldn't jump to conclusions
"Okay, thanks" I pick up my bag before we leave."What should we do now?" Luke asks while I inhale the fresh air. It's quite cold for may.
"I don't really know" I sigh,
"Want to watch over Kimmy with me?" He raises a brow, while reading a text, probably from his sister.
"Are they in town?" I imagine they might be visiting home for some time,
"Yeah probably to see me, I told her about my arm" he points to his wrapped limb.
"Okay then, I'm down" I follow Luke on the sidewalk, as we make our way towards the bus. He is talking about his doctors appointment tomorrow, he might get his cast taken down. He seems stressed although not as half as much as before. We step on the bus, it's packed to the brim. Crowding right by the door, Luke laughs a bit, we are unlucky today. I search for a familiar face, which I know I won't find. I take the phone out of my pocket, hoping she replied, but she didn't. She hasn't been active for hours. I ignore the worry forming in my chest and focus on Luke. He is staring right at me,
"You have gone crazy" he laughs shaking his head.
"Down bad" he whispers in my ear. I can't help but laugh at his remark, but I know he is right. I'm going crazy.
