I anxiously paced the floor of my room, biting my nails as I did so, a nervous habit I'd developed over the years. I didn't know what to wear, it wasn't like Benson was taking me to some five star restaurant as far as I was aware.

My phone came to life causing me to look at the caller ID to find it was Kaitlyn. With a sigh of relief I answered it.

"I need your help." I exclaimed.

"Uh, okay, with what?"

"Benson and I are going on a date and -"

"YOU'RE WHAT!" She screamed making me flinch. "I knew you guys would get together. You both compliment each other really well."

"Thank you," I chuckled, "He's taking me to dinner at six. I need help picking out an outfit, I don't know what to wear." I spoke in distress, my hands combing through my chocolate colored locks.

"Well, where is he taking you?"

"The Red Bird." I sighed, "I have no freaking clue what it's like, I've never been there."

"Oh, just dress more non-formal." She hummed in amusement.

"Okay, so like maybe something like this?" I inquired holding up a striped cardigan that was already paired with a pair of flared denim jeans.

"Yeah, that's actually perfect

"Yeah, that's actually perfect." She smiled.

"Okay," I set my phone down and shut off my camera as I changed into my outfit. Thankfully, I'd already showered this morning so, all I had to do was apply some perfume.

"Gah, I'm so happy for you." She squealed, "You have to tell me everything that happens."

"I will." I laughed.

"Do you think he'll kiss you?"

"Uh, probably not it's only the first date." I spoke, pulling the cardigan over my head and pulling on my jeans before turning the camera back on.

"Yeah, true."

"Ugh, you pulled a baddie." She chuckled.

"I guess," I chuckled.

"Girl, don't even. You know you find him attractive." I couldn't fight the heat that rushed to the flesh of my cheeks.

"It's more of his personality, but yes he's really good looking." I sheepishly grinned, feeling the heat of my cheeks spread to my neck.

"You're literally blushing so hard right now." She smirked, "Well, I'll let you go. You better tell me everything."

"Okay, okay, I will." I smiled, "Bye."

"Bye." She spoke drawing out her word.

With a smile etched into my face I made my way into the bathroom to begin applying some light makeup, mainly concealer. My heart beating to a joyous rhythm in my chest as the awaited time of night approached.
