The low humming of my tires against the pavement filled my ears as I pulled onto a desolate road. It was a side street according to my Google maps. The further I drove the more I became worried that I had gone the wrong way. There were no cars on the sides of the road, just trees and weeds.

My phone pinged with a message that I had a feeling was from Benson. Cautiously I pulled off to the side of the road and looked at my phone.

Sure enough it was him.

Benson
Hey, I just saw you!
You drove past a side road about a minute ago. 😂

Me
Oh my gosh!
😂Thank you Benson!

Benson
Np!

I clicked my phone off and switched on my turn signal. Cautiously making a u-turn on the road. I kept my speed at a slow but steady 20 mph when my eyes came upon the road Benson must have been talking about. With a left turn I pulled on to the road and sure enough Benson's tall muscular frame came into sight. He hopped out of his jeep and waved to me with a warm smile. I pulled off to the side of the road and parallel parked in front of his jeep.

Opening the car door I was immediately taken by surprise when Benson handed me a box of chocolates. A smile immediately crossed over my face at his kind gesture.

"Aw, thank you, Benson!" I beamed looking down at the small box of dark chocolates.

"No problem, I saw them and figured you could use some chocolate in your life," he smiled, "Nothing makes you happier than chocolate, am I right?" He chuckled causing me to do so as well. I turned around and discarded the chocolates from my hand and into the car.

"Yeah, chocolate usually fixes all things in life," I laughed, "In my opinion it's the best kind of medicine."

"No, that's lie it's totally music," he beamed.

"Hm, you got me there," he started leading me to the surprisingly sparsely populated sidewalk. "How's your music going by the way?" I asked breaking the comfortable silence.

"Uh, pretty good I actually wrote a song the night of the party," he smiled, "Oh, and then I wrote one a few days before that!"

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, it's only the first verse and chorus though," he sighed. I noticed the way his eyes lit up as he talked about his passion for music. It was a joyful sight.

"You have a name for either of them yet?" I inquired.

"Um, yeah I was thinking the one I wrote the night of the party would probably be called Slow It Down, and the other one is finished and called Coffee Cake," he grinned with a trace of a smirk.

"Interesting," I paused, "You'll have to show me some of the songs you've written some time, yeah?" I glanced at him only to see he was shyly looking down at the ground as he kicked a stone out of his path.

"Yeah, I should," he breathed, "Who are some of your favorite artists?" He asked quirking a brow.

"Uh, big fan of Coldplay, Adele ugh, love her. Ouh, and Imagine Dragons! Love them!" I exclaimed with wide eyes due to the excitement that pumped through me.
