CHAPTER 9
After discovering the book written by Aarav, Ananya and Pranav planned to visit her hometown again. It is a small, peaceful village surrounded by hills, with old houses and trees.
They decided to gather information from the locals who might know about Aarav. They soon met Mrs. Seema, a kind elderly woman who had lived in the town her entire life. When Ananya explained their search, Mrs. Seema’s eyes lit up with interest.
"Aarav, you say?" Mrs. Seema murmured thoughtfully. "That name does sound familiar. He is the sarpanch of this village. He might seem reserved, but he has a kind heart. I’ve heard people say he is a good man who helps everyone. He has even built homes for the villagers and invests in new technologies for their development. He lives happily with his beautiful family. May I ask why you are searching for him? Is something serious?"
"No, no," Ananya replied quickly. "We just need some information from him. Could you help us meet him, Mrs. Seema?"
"Certainly," Mrs. Seema said. "I can provide his address. You can visit him at his home; it’s just 15 minutes from here. I work at the village hospital, so if you need any help, feel free to contact me."
Ananya and Pranav were excited that meeting Aarav could help them solve the puzzle. They thanked Mrs. Seema and made their way to the address she had provided.
Arriving at the address, they found a well-maintained house with a neatly trimmed garden. They rang the doorbell, and a young woman in her early thirties answered. She greeted them warmly.
"Hello! Can I help you?" she asked.
"Hi, we’re Ananya and Pranav," Ananya began. "We were told we might find Aarav here. We have some questions for him."
The woman smiled. "I’m Meera, Aarav’s wife. Please come in. Aarav is in his study room. I’ll let him know you’re here."
Following Meera into the house, they were led to Aarav’s study room. Aarav, busy in paperwork, looked up with curiosity.
"Hello, Ananya and Pranav. Mrs. Seema mentioned you might be coming," Aarav said, rising from his desk. "What brings you here?"
Ananya explained everything about the discovery of the diary in the attic, her strange connection with Pranav, and that garden.
Aarav is thrilled to know more about that garden as she describes more Aarav feels a sense of familiarity. Yes……… that’s the garden I used to play during my childhood. Aarav said joyfully.
Pranav & Ananya didn’t expect this. So they handed a photograph which was found early to Aarav. This was me my childhood picture said Aarav.
Ananya was confused and she asked do you know a girl who usually played with you during your childhood? Aarav said yes …… Her name is Mishra. Mishra? Ananya asked in joy.
I’m Ananya Mishra the girl who used to play with you in our childhood. Now both were happy that they found their childhood friends.
Pranav was too happy that they met after long years. Their long conversation, fun-filled jokes, and their laughter filled the house.
But deep inside Ananyas’s thoughts, she was even more puzzled than how Pranav knew about this garden.
