Real Life!
Nick sat in his favorite armchair, the letter from Taylor clutched tightly in his hands. The room around him seemed to blur as he unfolded the paper, his heart pounding with each movement. As he began to read Taylor's words, his eyes widened in disbelief and pure joy.
The letter spoke of a monumental decision Taylor had made she was moving to Florida. The news hit Nick like a tidal wave of emotion. He had hoped for this day, dreamed about it even, but seeing it written down made it all the more real and overwhelming.
As he read, a broad smile spread across his face, lighting up his entire being. The idea of Taylor moving closer, of being able to see her more often, share daily moments, and build their future together, filled him with an immense sense of happiness. He could hardly believe that this dream was finally coming true. The thought of not having to wait for the next video call or letter, but instead being able to hold her in his arms and share life's simple pleasures, made his heart swell with excitement.
Unable to contain his emotions, Nick quickly grabbed his phone and dialed Taylor's number. His hands shook slightly as he held the phone to his ear, his breath coming in quick, excited bursts. The call connected, and he heard Taylor's familiar voice on the other end, warm and comforting.
"Taylor! I just got your letter," Nick said, his voice trembling with a mix of disbelief and joy. "I can't believe it. You're moving here! This is incredible! I'm so excited and so happy. I've been dreaming about this moment, and now it's actually happening."
On the other end of the line, Taylor's laughter was soft and affectionate. "I'm so glad you're excited, Nick. I've been looking forward to this for a long time. I wanted to be closer to you, to start this new chapter of our lives together. I'm thrilled that it's finally happening, too."
Nick's heart felt lighter than it had in months. "I've missed you so much. The thought of having you here, sharing our days and nights, it's everything I've hoped for. I can't wait to start planning our new life together."
They continued to talk, their conversation filled with enthusiasm and affection. They discussed the details of her move, when she would be arriving, what her new apartment would be like, and the adjustments they would need to make. Every word was laced with excitement as they talked about the future they were about to build together.
Nick's mind raced with thoughts of all the things they could do once she arrived, exploring Florida's beautiful spots, setting up their new home, and simply enjoying the everyday moments they had missed during their time apart. They both knew even though they weren't living together they would spend so much time together it was like they lived together. Nick felt a renewed sense of purpose and joy, knowing that soon they would be living their dream.
The anticipation in their voices was palpable as they wrapped up their call. They made plans to talk again soon, with Nick eagerly looking forward to each step of the process. The distance that had once seemed so vast now felt surmountable, as if every mile between them had been erased by the simple promise of a future together.
As Nick hung up the phone, he sat back in his chair, his heart still racing with excitement. He couldn't wait to welcome Taylor into his life in person and to start this new chapter with her. The future seemed brighter and more promising than ever, and he was ready to embrace it with open arms.
