Sage Series 1: One Last Chance

     Being the youngest has its privileges, but making your own decisions was not part of it. That's why despite his refusal, Cloud Zedrick Elizondo accompanied his family to the Aragon manor. Unfortunately, he was to be wedded to the only daughter of the said family despite him having a girlfriend. It had been four years since he had known about the arrangement, he had seen her countless times as well. She gives off the vibe of optimism which captivates him. Well, his relationship with Naomi is nearing its doom anyway, it's just missing the formality of a proper break-up. He also knows that she has a boyfriend now, of course, she was treated nicely by Ryle, their high school friend. So, for now, he would listen to his parents and be wedded to Lina, but after six months he would file a divorce and have his freedom back again. Twenty minutes later they reached the Aragon manor, and just as they opened the door they saw Lina slapped her brother.

"Use your brain, Tristan Silver Aragon!"

As that was shouted, he ran towards her to hold her up. He didn't realize he moved on his own, but something pulled him toward her.

"Calm down, Lina."

He gently coaxed her to calm down, but a few minutes later he felt his polo shirt being crumpled. When he looked down, he saw her knuckle turning white. She was crying as well, and soon enough fell asleep on his chest. At that moment he looked towards Silver's direction. He knows how playful his friend could be, but to the point of making his sister cry, that was something he couldn't tolerate. For sure one of his brothers told Silver about his situation, and in return Silver suggested it to his sister. Because he knows about the mess Silver and Trevor made in Mystic Entertainment.

"What did you exactly suggest to your sister?"

He asked coldly as he held Lina tightly, if one of them managed to make her cry, it wouldn't take long for all of them to do so.

"I told her that since you were struggling with your company she could help you with it and that she could be the person that breaks you and Naomi apart."

He looked at his best friend with disbelief, and he was also contemplating whether to still consider the other as a best friend or not. Indeed everyone in his life wanted Naomi gone, but he didn't expect Silver to sell his sister off to his family! What kind of a brother is he?

"Are you fucking kidding me right now, Silver? You'd sell your sister to me, just for your debts to be paid off? Don't worry, I will make sure your debt is paid off, but the minute your sister and I are wedded none of you will ever see her again."

He said so without hesitation and noticed how they turned white, he knew Lina was the boys' weakness. Since they're not valuing her the right way, he would show them how to do so instead.

"No, you will not do that!"

Pete was the first to pull it together, he could see the panic in his eyes. But by observing them for almost two years, he knows something is clicking inside Pete's head. Something that would shock the other Aragon brothers, something that would be beneficial for him and Lina.

"I can and I will do it, Pete."

He replied and waited, if Lina was right when bragging about Pete, he would choose to do the right thing.

"Boys, this is for the best." Pete declared as chaos erupted.

"No!" Trevor was trying to keep his cool.

"Fuck no!" That's the reaction he expected from Jasper, the little guy still couldn't come to terms with what was happening.

"Pete, are you nuts?" The gentle soul of the family finally spoke.

"That's not what she would want." He was quite surprised by Silver's statement.

     He didn't expect him to consider what Lina would feel, because all these years he was the most troublemaker among them. Since was observing from afar, he knew what all of them were doing individually. Unfortunately, Lina was always the one to clean up after their mess. He looked beneath him and saw that Lina was still asleep in the midst of the chaos, so he took her to her room to rest properly and peacefully before he negotiated with his fiancée's family.

He couldn't help but notice the wrinkles on her face, she's only twenty-four she shouldn't have those wrinkles yet. He has asked Karina what kind of skincare products suit her skin, he wants her to feel the best every day she's with him for the rest of their lives. And for that to happen, he needs to have a serious talk with the people downstairs. Before he left, he did something that he would only do to Naomi. He gently kissed her forehead and left the room. He couldn't help but feel giddy at his gesture.

     When he got back downstairs everyone was waiting for him anxiously, his twin brothers were fidgeting like crazy. And the Aragon brothers were no different, the only calm people were the parents of both parties. He sat where he was earlier and stared at all the brothers present, their anxiety was radiating throughout the living room. So, this was what Lina had to deal with every time one of them messed up and she had to report to her parents.

"Are you going to do that?"

He had never seen Silver so scared before, but he'd like to torment him for a bit more. Of course, he wouldn't be able to take Kaia from away them completely, but he knows how to scare them for them to submit to him.

"Yes Silver, the deal has been done since early, when Pete agreed that it was for the best."

"Promise us you would take care of her, don't make her cry. Don't hurt her physically, mentally, or emotionally. I know we can't stop you from doing what you think is right for our sister, but please allow us to see her even after the wedding. Or if she doesn't want to see us, please convince her otherwise alright? We need her."

Cloud didn't reply instead hugged all of them, he thought that was enough torment for now. If someone is going to punish them, that would be his fiancée. But he would make sure she wouldn't get hurt anymore because he wasn't born as Cloud Zedrick Elizondo for nothing.
