Sage Series 1: One Last Chance

She just finished having a meeting with all the managers of Mystic Entertainment when she saw her husband running through the corridor of the company, her gut feeling told her something was upsetting Ricky. So, she snapped her fingers to get his attention. Then she was pulled into a tight hug, if it was a regular hug it wouldn't be a problem because she knows how clingy Ricky can be. But she soon enough felt a wet patch on her shoulder, it set off a bunch of alarms in her head. Did something happen at his company? Did he get into a fight with the boys? Did he get into an accident and was running away from the police? Her brain was over the highway until he pulled away from the hug.

"I'm sorry..."

Now that was something else, what made her husband apologize? As far as she knows he did nothing to her for the past couple of days or even weeks prior.

"Sorry about what, Love?"

"I was the one."

Now she's dumbfounded with his answer, something is not right about this. She tried to analyze what had happened after he was called back to Triple E, but he didn't message her anymore.

"I was the reason why you didn't want to celebrate your birthday right?"

Now she understood what was happening, her brothers must have told him the secret she was keeping all these years, otherwise, he wouldn't be like this.

"Seven years ago in front of the entire school body, on your birthday I rejected you harshly."

Indeed her brothers told him about it, she wanted to beat them up but now she has an emotionally unstable husband to take care of. She will deal with the five of them later, she told them to not say anything about that incident to another living soul yet they did, and what's worse it was revealed to Ricky.

"I've forgiven you a long time ago, Ricky. Don't feel guilty, besides if that didn't happen we wouldn't grow up and be who we are today."

She explained and kissed him, she didn't know what took her to do that. But she knew both of them needed each other, so the kiss started gently and gradually got heated. She felt him asked for permission, she opened up for him to explore her mouth. Every minute of it made her lightheaded, that's why she pulled away from the kiss.

"I'm sorry..."

She caressed his cheek to reassure him that everything was alright, it was the first time in their marriage that their make-out session had gone this far. Of course, both of them were shocked about it. The silence was awkward between them, but when she fixed the wires in her head, she suggested they go home. Of course, he was the one driving them home. Although she was the eldest, her brothers never let her drive. She was the princess of the family after all. But instead of going straight home, she noticed they were going somewhere instead.

"Is this your property?"

She asked him while looking around the area, this was a new surroundings for her. She wondered when he brought this place if that was the case.

"This property was given to me when we got engaged, the design was based on your preference," Ricky said when they stepped into the penthouse.

Preference? Maybe one of the things she told Jasper before since he was the architect among them. She looked around and saw that everything was to her vision, but she saw something that stopped her from roaming her eyes. Ricky was looking at her intensely, it was suffocating in a comforting way. It seemed like he couldn't contain his emotions and they were kissing again, this time it was more intense than the one in her company. She let her emotions take over as well, and for the first time in their marriage, she felt perfectly happy. It made her realize that she made the right decision to marry him, she felt so at ease.

"I'm sorry for what I have done to you before."

He said that made her turn to look at him, it seemed like he still couldn't forget what happened to be before. She cupped his cheeks gently, she needed to make sure he would be able to understand what she was about to declare.

"Cloud Zedrick Elizondo, I have forgiven you seven years ago. Do you remember how old we were back then?"

"I'm seventeen and you were eighteen that time."

"See? We were only teenagers back then, and we weren't mature enough to know anything about love. Now it's different for us because we've grown and learned what's necessary for our love to work. So please don't trap yourself in the past, besides we only have three months to be with each other."

Upon mentioning the remaining time they had with each other, she felt sad as well. But that's the reality of the situation, however she didn't want to think about it at the moment. She kissed him to distract herself, she wanted to enjoy every moment with him.

"I don't want to divorce you anymore."

She just smiled at him, but she still wanted to keep her word. She took away his freedom and one day she will give it back to him because that's how she was raised. If you took something away from someone you would have to give it back, you can't be selfish. She looked like him sleeping peacefully beside him, this might have been the first time she saw him this close. She slowly traced her fingers on his face trying to memorise his features, when her fingers reached his lips she let it linger for several minutes, yet before she could pull away she felt his kisses.

"Think about what I said alright, because I really want to spend my life with you."

She knew it was just the post orgasm talking, yet she didn't want to argue with him for now. The right time will come, and everything will fall into place.
