September 20 was supposed to be a happy day for his wife, instead, she was now so gloomy that even if it was a full moon tonight it wouldn't be enough to light up her mood. It all started when her secretary sent an email saying that one of the members of Mystic decided to leave the company, she immediately went to check on the unit yet Yuan couldn't be stopped. He said that he couldn't get along with the boys anymore, they looked at the unit manager wondering how it escalated that quickly without them realizing it.

Every manager of her artist worked closely with her even after they got married, and based on the tone of Yuan's voice it seemed like this issue had been present for a while. Then to defuse the situation, he checked the contract they signed before. Since he's a lawyer he's familiar with the paperwork needed for these situations, he thought they could at least have the advantage, yet they don't, because although it was a breach of contract, he knew Lina wouldn't want to hold one of her friends hostage just because of a contract.

"If that's what you want, Yuan, I will not stop you anymore. Thank you for giving us your time, I do hope you will find the right industry for you. It was nice working with you, Yuan Anthony Choi."

After that, she stepped out of the office and followed her. Throughout the seven years of establishing Mystic Entertainment, this was the first time she had to dissolve a group. It was her company's main unit as well, fortunately, she still has another girl group to take care of. Now he realized that being the head of an entertainment company is no joke, it comes with responsibilities and pain to follow if she had to dissolve a group or an artist in general.

"He was the first one."

She stated after fifteen minutes of silence, her voice was cracking, he put his hands on her shoulder as comfort. He wanted to give her some space at the same time to comfort her as well.

"He was the first one I found to be suitable for Mystic, yet he was the first one to leave. I don't hold them hostage because I know how important it is to give your artist the freedom to make their own decisions, but now everyone is affected by it."

He stayed silent as she was gathering her thoughts together, he always knew her as someone strong yet this might have been one of her breaking points. Well, if he was in her position and Dynamic Flame were to shock him with their decision of leaving the company he wouldn't be able to handle it as well. She's much stronger than most of the bosses in the entertainment industry since she managed to keep her cool in front of everyone early.

"I have no choice but to stop everything that is related to Mystic until we find a replacement for Yuan. And we need to issue a public statement as to why that's happening, I need to have a meeting with all the managers as well."

Her tone was frantic like she was in survival mode, he couldn't leave her like this but some legal matters came up in Triple E. so he had no choice but to leave.

"If you have work to do, go on ahead I can manage. Just message me what you want to eat for dinner alright?"

She smiled at him weakly, he knew how tired she must be after everything. He slowly leaned towards her and kissed her, they needed that anyway. Her reaction was priceless, it felt like they were kissing each other for the first time.

"Alright, message me if anything happens here. I love you." He said as she nodded.

It only took him about thirty minutes to reach Triple E. Dance Studio, he purposefully did it months after the announcement of their engagement. Just in case anything happens to her, he could immediately be there. He argued with his brothers about it since they wanted the studio to be located at Central since there would be more people, yet after they found out his reason they immediately agreed and teased him none stop. He didn't hear the end of it until they got married, and fortunately, his brothers hadn't told his wife about it yet.

He walked into his office and saw Lina's brothers as well, he frowned at them since he thought that they were having legal problems.

"Stop frowning already, we called you here because we wanted to surprise your wife." Rancel declared upon locking eyes with him.

"But my wife doesn't want a celebration."

It shocked his brothers but not the Aragons, he saw their expression change. Something was going on with them, and he had to get to the bottom of it, otherwise, he might upset Lina.

"Pete, you're the closest to her. Can you tell me why she doesn't want any celebration?"

"Because it was the day she was rejected by you seven years ago."

Pete said it calmly like it was a normal thing, the incident happened seven years ago. So why would she still think about it?

"You reject her affection in front of Victoria Naomi Gonzalez, who also happens to be the one who connected you two this time around."

Silver explained with an angry expression. So he was the reason why Lina didn't like celebrating her birthday, he felt like someone poured a bucket of iced water on him upon the realization. He was a jerk.

"But you can make up for it now, just make sure that she won't cross paths with Naomi today."

He nodded and stepped out of the office, they unanimously decided to not continue with their surprise. He immediately went to Mystic Entertainment because he knew Lina was still there, they both activated their GPS in case of emergencies. He was shaking nonstop while driving, how could he do such a thing to Lina? All she did was love him, yet he hurt her publicly.

He didn't realize he had reached the main office, only when Lina snapped her fingers he was pulled back together. He hugged her tightly and started crying on her shoulder, everything just happened so fast. One minute he was thinking about a surprise for her, the next he was beating himself up for his mistake seven years ago.

"What happened?"

She was worried, yet he couldn't find his voice to answer her.

"Did something happen at Triple E?"

Despite everything she's feeling right now, she still considers his wellbeing. Did he save a village in the past for him to have her in his life?

Hello my dear angels, the birthday confession really happened to me but not publicly. The rejection I experienced was a humane one, humane in a way that it was not meant to put down my self-esteem. I will forever be grateful for that person's way of expressing his feelings towards me, but we were destined to be friends in this lifetime instead. I just wanted to use this story to point out that sometimes someone knows what they had done, and it's up to them if they want to make amends for it. Well, that would be all for now. Have a great day ahead everyone.
