Surpise Visit

Throughout her twenty-five years on earth, she had only been nauseous when they were riding a bus, but not when she was just seated and reading a bunch of paperwork. She rushed to the bathroom when she felt another wave of nausea coming, she even bumped into her husband.

"Lina, are you alright?"

She wanted to punch the hell out of him, because why is he asking the obvious? But she dismissed him for now, as she lowered her head to the sink. As she was gagging and feeling like her stomach was doing a backflip, she saw Ricky in her vision he had an expression that screamed fear.

"It's alright, I'll get you some water."

She might have eaten something earlier, but so far they've only eaten pancakes and croissants. She's not allergic to any of the ingredients present in those foods.

She tried not to think about what happened earlier, however in the middle of a meeting she wanted to eat a tuna croissant with Chocolate syrup. She told Zaria to call Pete because he knew where to buy the things she wanted, the meeting was over anyway.

"You want what now, big sis?"

"I want a tuna croissant with chocolate syrup!"

She saw his expression change, and she immediately began to panic and get mad because why wouldn't her brother listen to her demands?

"Peter Yves Aragon! Didn't you hear what I said?!" She asked furiously as he fumbled to the door to buy what she wanted.

The waiting game was killing her, that's why she went for a walk outside the corridor. When she heard her employees chatting with each other, the conversation was harsh.

"Sir Cloud shouldn't have married her, she's not that pretty anyway."

"Yeah, he should've stayed together with Miss Naomi. They were matched made in heaven!"

"Well, I heard they were only married for convenience, so they'll break up eventually."

"Let's wait until that happens, then we can resign and work for the Gonzalez."

"Well, I won't accept you into my company."

They were all stunned when they heard another voice, she was trying to remember who it was, but nothing was happening with her memory.

"Hi, Sapphire."

The woman got close enough for her to see who it was, it was Victoria Naomi Gonzalez. Her husband's first love, and the people's choice to be Ricky's wife. She stood there admiring her beauty, and couldn't help but compare her relationship with the controversial British royal couple, Prince Charles, Princess Diana, and Camila. She was Princess Diana who despite being the legal wife, always felt like she was not the priority.

"Sapphire! Girl, are you alright? Should I call Cloud? Wait don't answer that, I will call him now."

She wasn't able to say anything before she heard Ricky on the other line, she couldn't hear what they were talking about since she was too emotional to begin with. She doesn't know what's happening with her today, she's not like this regularly.

Zedrick was reading a contract submitted by his brothers when he felt his heart ached, he is familiar with telepathy between twins or triplets. But Kyle and Rancel are both standing in front of him, it wouldn't be them so who could it be? While he was wondering about it, his phone suddenly rang. The caller ID shows the name of Naomi, although he didn't plan to answer since he cut contact with her, he still did because it might be important.

"Naomi, what's wrong?"

"Hello there Cloud, I'm here at Mystic Entertainment. I came across your wife in the corridor, she seems to be in emotional distress."

"Keep her vitals in check please, Naomi. I'll be there in ten minutes, thank you."

After he cut the call, he immediately went to the parking lot. So, that explains why he felt uneasy earlier. He has to reach Lina as fast as possible, if Lina was with other people he wouldn't be like this, but she is with Victoria Naomi who happens to be his ex-girlfriend. Good thing he brought his BMW with him today, at least he could slip through if there was a traffic jam. This might be the longest ten minutes of his life, but now he understands why Kyle couldn't stop fidgeting when Karina was at the hospital after being shot. That time was just a trigger happy, but if the person you love is on the line you wouldn't be able to think straight at all.

He greeted the guards at the gate and ran towards the elevator, unfortunately, he was two steps late and the elevator door closed. He wasn't patient enough to wait for another one, so he ran upstairs through the fire exit. Some might think he's crazy, but Lina's tendency to have a panic attack is unpredictable. It took him fifteen minutes to reach the seventh floor, where Lina's office was located.

There he saw Lina and Naomi sitting on the same bench, and seems to be enjoying each other's company. He slowly walked towards them and hugged his wife, he was relieved to know that she was alright.

"Hi, Ricky."

She whispered gently and it did wonder to his system, he didn't feel like his organs were buzzing anymore.

"Hi, Lina."

He did the same and saw how she melted in his arms, it must've been a rollercoaster ride of emotions for her.

"Thank you, Naomi."

"No worries, Cloud. Sapphire, let's have a girl's night out once in a while. I could leave my boyfriend, Ryle to his care for a few hours."

"Yeah, that would be good."

He looked at them dumbfounded, because since when did they manage to plan a girl's night out? Well, it's not the right time to question that yet. He wanted to know why was Naomi here in Mystic Entertainment, and what happened before he got here.

"Nao, why were you here at the company?"

"The Gonzalez Enterprise was planning to have a meeting with the Aragon Empire, but I didn't see Sapphire there. So, I asked Pete where to find her, and he told me should would be here."

Naomi explained but something was still bothering her for sure, he was in a relationship with her for five years after all. So, he knows if something is not being said. He then looked at his wife and saw her looking at Naomi intensely, which indicates that she was hiding something. He expected them to have a staring contest for a bit longer, yet Lina's eyes softened giving Naomi the signal she had been waiting for since earlier.

"I think you should fire a few of your employees, because who in their right mind would bite the hand that feeds them? Even a pet wouldn't do that, right?"

He looked at Lina for confirmation, but she just avoided his gaze. And it confirmed Naomi's statement, he then looked around for a CTTV camera. He was sure those cameras were working properly since they were installed by Archangel Technology. But he didn't move for a moment giving enough time for Lina to decide whether or not to fire them, however after five minutes she started speaking again.

"I've been good to them, but I didn't expect them to talk behind my back like that. Who are they to decide for us anyway."

Her voice was cracking and Zedrick never liked that, he followed her gaze and saw that she was looking at Naomi intensely. So, it does have to do with her.

"Naomi.... You won't take Ricky away from me right?"

That line made all of them on edge, he, himself was sure he wouldn't let himself be taken away from Lina. But if Lina managed to ask that, he might not be doing his job as a husband to assure her of his love.

Hello there my dear angels, another update for today! To be honest I took two days to write this character, because of the emotional state of Sapphire in this story. I had to go back to memory lane just so I could write this properly, especially the parts about her insecurities. I hope you enjoyed it somehow.
