A year has passed since the beginning of the war with District Ten, and they've managed to make the biggest shareholders of Dreamcatcher Development Corporation pull out their investments. The Gremlins were back in the game as well, they've all recovered from what happened to their Grandma. So far they're doing a great job in infiltrating the companies that belong to some of the District Ten members, they've managed to coordinate well with the Hurricane Unit to not raise suspicions. She also found out that Silver was being courted by one of the members of the Hurricane and Alpha Unit at the same time. She of course knows that Silver wouldn't be able to entertain any of them until after the war was over.

"My Lady, may we ask you something?" She nodded as Lorraine continued.

"What is the purpose of this war?"

She stopped reading and smiled at her, of course, everyone part of this war wanted to know the purpose of it. When she thought about it, they were kind of blindly following her into a death trap.

"The primary reason for this is to clean up the mess District Ten made since I left."

"That's right, you left the Philippines after your high school graduation."

"Precisely, James. But that doesn't mean I stopped caring about them, and they were too dumb to know who to trust. So, we're doing this for them as well."

She explained to them, and none of them questioned her anymore. Because as long as they're still connected with a bunch of traitors, they won't prosper into a powerhouse, one to be reckoned with in the business industry. A few minutes later they heard a knock on the door, and it was her husband Ricky. Fortunately, their relationship wasn't affected by the war. They were much stronger than before, she guessed the saying 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder' was true after all.

But she sensed something was bothering Ricky, so, she told the others to leave them for a while. She will just call them back if something happens, they looked at them knowingly and left. As the door closed, Ricky immediately launched himself toward her. She missed this side of him.

"Have you missed me, Love? Because I did miss you."

She declared as she kissed him passionately, her husband was taken aback. But she paid no mind about it, however as his hands traveled down, something was wrong with him.

"I accidentally made out with Naomi, I admit it was a mistake on my part. But can I ask you something aside from your forgiveness?"

As a married woman who gave herself to her husband several times already, and as a Psychologist she understood why Ricky had done that. He also has needs to be met, and being around Naomi might have triggered something in him. She just hoped that he was thinking about her as the make-out session was happening.

"I was thinking about you the whole time, that's why I pulled away immediately. You can watch the CCTV footage for proof."

She smiled softly at his confession since nothing changed with him. Given that he was still able to see through her emotions like he never separated from her at all.

"I'm glad you were thinking about me, but it's still wrong no matter your reasons. I won't carry out the punishment for now, after the war is over, that's when we deal with this issue alright?"

She gently brushed his hair through her fingers, and he was able to breathe much better. But there was another question at hand.

"What was the other thing you wanted to ask?"

"During the entire ordeal, Naomi didn't resist at all."

That alarmed her, she was trying to think of a logical explanation. But she couldn't think of anything other than the fact that Naomi still has feelings for Ricky. Were they taking care of a snake that could poison them? She felt a shiver from the realisation, did she trust the wrong person again? Was history repeating itself? She couldn't help but shed tears of frustration, but she didn't expect to be betrayed by the same woman after almost ten years.

"Please don't go... don't go back with her. Please, I beg you, Zedrick."

She cried and hugged him tight, she felt like she would lose him if she didn't hold him close. She then felt him stroking her back gently, it gave her reassurance that he wouldn't leave.

"Hey Sweetheart, it was a mistake on my part. But I will never leave you for her, and do you remember what you told me before we signed the fake divorce contract?"

She composed herself and tried to remember what she said before, but it seemed like her memories were betraying her as well. Because she couldn't remember anything, she started hyperventilating as well. But was calmed by Ricky when he touched her cheeks, his hands were rough but it was warm to the touch.

"You said you would give me my freedom, but do you realize that you gave it to me the minute we got married?" So, that's what she said before.

"How? How did I give you the freedom?" She asked voice still hoarse from crying.

"Before I married you, I didn't have the privilege to make my own decisions. Everything needs to go through my parents, especially my Mama. But after being married, I had the chance to make decisions for myself and our family. So you, Celina Sapphire A. Elizondo, gave me the freedom I desire."

Well, the definition of freedom is different for everyone. And having the privilege and ability to decide for oneself might have been the definition for Ricky.

"So, please for the love of every higher being we know, do not think that I would leave you just because you think you're not giving me anything, alright?"

She nodded and calmed down gradually, she might have been thinking too much about it. A few minutes later, Rouge and Kendra brought their daughter into the room. Ricky immediately took hold of her since she was crying so much, and that's when she vowed to never let anyone ruin their family.

And that my dear Angels, is how I view the word 'Freedom'. Well, they said it's different for everyone. Of course it's like that for my characters as well, but personally I have the same viewpoint with Ricky on this part. That's it for now, have a great day ahead everyone!
