A month after the incident at the Aragon manor, she and Zedrick were officially married. It was a private intimate ceremony, with only a few of the closest relatives. Of course, Mystic was there. It's a group of six boys that are loyal to her, so loyal to the point that she feels like Zedrick is jealous of them. But she'd rather not think of it as such to not bring her hopes up, after all this marriage would be over in a year anyway.
"Lina, I will be going to Scotland for a business trip for three days. Would you want to accompany me?"
She shook her head since she wanted to give him some space in case he and Naomi were to meet each other, she also had things to discuss with Mystic.
"Are you sure? It's a little boring here, at least you would have other sceneries."
"No, enjoy yourself there. Also, take care of yourself, and make sure to eat on time. Don't eat too much fish and chips, alright?"
She reminded him and continued reading her papers, but just as she was about to flip over another page, Zedrick pulled her upstairs. She had no choice but to follow him, until she was standing in front of her closet. They have a different closet just so they wouldn't have a hard time finding something to wear.
"Cloud Zedrick, what exactly do you want to happen?"
She asked while standing dumbfounded in front of him, yet he just pulled out another suitcase from under their bed. His bed rather since they sleep in different rooms.
"Pack your clothes, you are going with me to Scotland."
She planned to argue with him further, but he started putting clothes in the suitcase. So, she had no choice but to play along with him.
"I know you've worked at the human resource and legal department of the Aragon Empire, so it would be beneficial for you to accompany me through this trip."
Well, despite it being like that, she figured it wouldn't be harmful to help out a little bit. Besides they're a team now, and the Aragon Empire wouldn't be at risk even if she helped Triple E. Dance Studio. Given that Pete was handling everything the way she wanted.
"Please, I know that would be a foreign land, but allow me to be with my wife even for a few days. I want to get to know you."
She felt threatened by what he said, but something told her not to argue with him anymore. She wanted to set a boundary between them, but it seemed like he didn't know his limits at all. She went to the bathroom to get her toiletries, and when she came back he was staring at her like a lost child.
"Have you finished packing? If there's still anything you need, you better get it now. I know you work best under pressure, but that's the difference between us. If you become anxious later on, I will book a taxi and stay here in Hong Kong instead."
After that she saw how he ran downstairs to get his remaining clothes, she chuckled upon seeing his frantic attempts to take them off the cloth rack. She took pity on him and decided to help out, but she didn't expect him to turn around at the same time. Although they kissed each other during their wedding, she was still surprised by the action itself. She felt butterflies in her stomach and avoided eye contact with him.
"Don't munch on too much lemon candy, you might develop acid reflux."
She just nodded towards him and walked back to her room, she didn't expect him to be able to distinguish the flavor of the candy. She looked deeply at the mirror until she heard knocking on the door, she pulled herself together and opened the door for him.
"Did I startle you earlier? I'm sorry."
She didn't say anything but hugged him instead, and he instantly leaned his weight onto her. That's when she truly felt what he was carrying all this time, maybe she was indeed too tough on their relationship all this time. She allowed him to lean for a little while longer, she used this opportunity to brush her fingers through his hair. And just like a cat, he immediately calmed down.
Minutes turned to hours, they stayed like that until his alarm went off. She turned it off and coaxed him awake, it took him more than five minutes to be willing to get up. It makes her wonder how would she be able to wake him on an ordinary day if he had to go to the office, she might as well wake him up an hour before head.
"Come on now, Ricky. We're good to be late for the flight."
Twenty minutes later they arrived at the airport, it wasn't that crowded since it was only June, and there was still a month before summer vacation started. She surprisingly didn't have to worry about anything, because Ricky is very hands-on with everything. She can finally be a passenger princess! Because having six younger brothers while traveling is exhausting, especially if your parents are too busy with the business to care about the kids. She had to make sure every travel document was present, no one was running off, and none of them was using too much money on unnecessary expenses.
"Don't worry yourself too much, I'm the one who's in charge of Kyle and Rancel's documents anyway. So, I got used to it already. So, could you buy us some coffee and cake instead?"
Of course, she agreed, although it might seem like he was being bossy around her. But she was more than fine with it, it's a change of routine for her. As she was walking down the aisle to the café of the airport, she couldn't help but imagine what would happen during their trip.
Surprise! Surprise my dear Angels! Another update for today. I will update twice a week, every Monday and Friday. Now, let me clarify that I'm not geographically familiar with Scotland, so I didn't elaborate on the trip itself, but if you still like how I wrote this part mind giving a little star? 🥰 Well, have a great day ahead everyone!
