From the moment he saw her, standing in the forest with that worried look on her face, he knew he was doomed. She was the beginning of the end, and he wouldn't want it any other way.
When Bella Swan's protective younger sister...

Will licked the pancake batter off her fingers instead of wiping it off with a towel, and sat down at the wooden kitchen table with a great huff. She looked over the heaping pile of chocolate chip pancakes she had made and grinned, quickly labeling herself as the best little sister ever.
She had even made chocolate milk in the only fancy glasses Charlie owned, and put crazy straws that you could bend and shape in. She concocted the mixture just how Renee used to when they were little, with so much Hershey's syrup that it wouldn't mix in fully and just sat at the bottom.
This would be the most perfect birthday breakfast ever, and Will crossed her legs and sat back, as if to signify a job well done. She opened the newest edition of Vogue and leafed through absentmindedly, dog earing the pages with outfits she could possibly recreate from the Thrift Store and cheap fabric from Micheals.
Not even five minutes later she heard feet clomping down the stairs. She threw her magazine to the side and jumped up, screaming, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLA!" just as she came into the room.
The newly 18-year-old smiled awkwardly and laughed. "Wow, Will, this is so cool!"
"A cool breakfast for the coolest big sister -"
"Aah, you made Renee style chocolate milk!" Bella laughed, sitting down at the table, her worries about Edward and her nightmare slowly slipping from her mind as an easy grin formed on her face. She took a sip, laughing at the straw. "You really do think of everything, don't you?"
They ate for a few minutes before Will cleared her throat. "So, what are you and Eddie-boy doing for your birthday?"
Bella rolled her eyes at the nickname, but Will wasn't done with her teasing. "Is he gonna stare at you as you eat? Or perhaps, wow, this is an exciting prospect, will he stare at you while you read? The fun possibilities are endless -"
Bella shook her head, doing her best not to get offended. Her sisters usually gentle teasing somehow struck her harder when the subject was Edward. "I don't know, Will, but you know how I am about birthdays. I'd honestly be fine if he didn't do anything -"
Will looked up, confused, wondering if this was some odd replica of her sister. "Bells, I know we've been apart these last couple of years, but what are you talking about? You've always loved your birthday!"
"Things change, Will. Maybe you should start changing with it instead of digging your heels into the ground. We're not 12 anymore." Bella said, standing up and taking a pancake in her napkin. "I've got to get to school, see ya later."
Will sat there, dumbstruck. The only thing that broke her from her spell was the sound of Bella's truck roaring up and leaving the driveway. "What the fuck?"
